A very well-written poem about the deadly sin of pride, the self glorification of a human looks down on others and robs God of His glory and refused to praise God Almighty.

Very well done! This is so true, pride it definitely a destroyer of the soul as one day pride does catch up with you. You also alienate so many others around you when pride is present! great job! xoxo

Pride is certainly up there... and it tends to reinforce itself! :) Great interpretation for the theme this evening -- best of luck to you at the polls! ;) :)

Then rob God of Glory, without a sweat (This should be robs as you are talking about 'it' which is singular.)

Well said in a lovely poetic way with excellent use of rhyme. Best wishes in the contest,my friend with this lovely entry~Debbie

Pride certainly is poisonous and one of the deadly sins and your poem portrays it clearly.
Great artwork and presentation. Good rhyme and alliteration.

Well done.

This is an incredible piece of poetry! Pride is the worst of the seven deadlies, because all the others arise from pride. You explained that fact masterfully. The best, and most important poem I've read in a very long time. I could go on and on about how good this post really is!!!

A good description of pride here and being proud always feels like someone thinks they are better than the next man, I enjoyed your words, love Dolly x

This is a poem that is defining Pride, one of the deadly sins, in exquisite detail. Most of us have had dealings where because of pride, the wrong solution has been applied in a dire situation, leaving a very vulnerable situation. Depending on a Leader with too much pride, can be catastrophic.
