Awesomely 'ad-libbed' last line there!! :) Great one, my lady!! Thanx for joining the fun this month! ;)
Please understand that this is a ridiculously abbreviated (and cut/paste) response for me, but I have been (still am!) in the midst of converting everything to online learning for the mandated school closings for the foreseeable future. Once I get 'ahead' in this 'change of venues' (i.e., instruction in cyberspace - lol!), I promise to be back to 'me' in my responses... you know, the crazy blonde fantasy chick! ;) ;)
Be safe and, remember, if you see any offerings/reviews from me, they are my 'escape' from this insanity... you know, my pressure release valve!! ;) ;)
Take care of you and we'll be sailing smoothly again in a few more days... hopefully!

wow - you have a job before you. Good thing you're such a smart gal!
What a life change everyone's going through.
It is so strange not being able to go to grocery, etc.
Promised fam I'd stay put as I am compromised with COPD and I ain't young no mo.
I think shelves, drawers and desktop are all saying, "Ok, kiddo, the time is NOW. Straighten, throw out, and unclutter." aarrgghh.
Good luck with your transition. Sounds daunting.

-Very nice artwork
and presentation.
-Your notes are appreciated.
-A well written pair of limericks.
-I like the first one about
how Caesar was a non-pleaser.
-In the second, I like how
the "senators were not besotted."
-Effective use of language to
emulate the time period, too.
-A good ending with "Not an et tu Bruté.
-Good luck in the contest.

thanks, Pam. I appreciate your reading it and your comments.
I hope it qualifies, because I don't think its what Tom, et al had in mind.

You are welcome. I don't know why it wouldn't. I don't think Tom does the contest judging, though.

I think this was a very, very good limerick . And I especially appreciated the knowledge imparted in the authors notes. But, just Caesar died that day . He could've stepped off a curve or fallen in front of the chariot. Does anyone really know what happened? Best wishes.

Bless you for the 6!! and for your comments. I really appreciate both!
As to Caesar's death, a bunch of cowardly senators knifed him to death.

You are most welcome. But with conspiracy theories, But you'd think They could've made it look like an accident.

I enjoyed reading your entry for the Dueling Limericks. You depicting this event well while carrying out the humor of a limerick. Thank you for sharing and good luck!

Fact or fiction, revisionist or accurate... don't know, don't care - this was funny (for a murder), with clever rhymes in the humorous manner of a true limerick. Now all we need is the grubby bit!!

Thank you for sharing this poem. I love that you have chosen this story, a Shakespearean favorite of mine, for the dueling limericks Ides of March contest. I find the whole presentation makes me what to research further, even though I am fairly certain I learned the true story some time ago. I love history and where history and literature intersect.

well, I certainly took liberties with history and probably this was where history and literature collided. :)
but I hadn't known before today that Brutus of the "et tu" wasn't true.
Thank you for reading and for your nice comments.
