Just completed parts one to three. Mary Kay, I have only one word for your efforts. Actually, it's two words. TRULY AMAZING. I've been on Fanstory for more than a dozen years and I can honestly say, nothing has ever moved me as much as these four chapters. Your writing is superb. This works really deserves, and needs wider public recognition.
Thank you for a four fantastic chapters about the twin towers.

I am so deeply grateful for not just one, but two six-star reviews from you! I'm so glad I added the Notes and promoted all four chapters, neither of which I was sure about doing. Reviews like yours make everything worth it! My heart is tremendously warmed by your overwhelmingly encouraging response to my epic poem, and I truly appreciate that you took the time to read all four chapters. I would really love to publish a short book one day, and expand it by adding some anecdotal accounts of my experiences near (never in) the vicinity of Ground Zero, as well as my husband's experiences as a Red Cross volunteer. God bless you, Bob, and many thanks.

Thank you so much, Raffaelina, for what is probably the best review I've ever had on anything, not to mention the six wonderful stars and the very meaningful nature of your comments. I appreciate this more than you know! Yours is also the 26th review of this chapter, which means that it may now be ranked, like the first two. You gave me a big boost during a very difficult time I'm going through. God bless you, my friend. - Mary Kay xoxo

At this time in America, I hope we will all purpose to work together and not try to take others down, It is a small world and the virus could destroy us or it could make us stronger. I hope it will make us stronger.

Yes, we need to pull together during this time of national emergency and also what has become a world crisis. Yet it's a crisis like no other, because we'll not be hugging and holding hands, but keeping a safe distance apart!
We have to do whatever it takes to protect one another and ourselves.
Thank you for the excellent rating and I hope you and your loved ones will stay well. God bless you, Patricia. - Mary Kay

Oh, Mary Kay, I love New York. Short of having lived there I flew into the city a few times a month for more than twenty years. My crew hotel in 1993 was in the first Tower and I was there when it was bombed. We, as so many others, had to be evacuated. Your poem brings it all back to me. 9/11 is something I will never forget as so many of us never will. Ulla:)))

Ulla, it's hard to imagine that you were present at the World Trade Center during the first attack in 1993. I thank God that you came through it safely, although one never forgets the trauma of such an experience. I had an overall feeling, ever since 1993, that the terrorists weren't satisfied and would try again to bring the towers down. I worked as a temp in both of them, and the security was top-notch, but they hated America so much that they found a way around it, and used our own planes against us, like missiles -- much like a Trojan Horse.
I'm so sorry you got caught in that terrible bombing, but relieved that you made it out. May God protect you.

The irony of that day, was that for once I and some of my crew members deciding against going shopping. Had we gone we would have been on that train as we were to be picked up 2 hours later to go to the airport. For obvious reasons, we never made it to the airport anyway as we were not allowed to fly as crew after such an experience. Life is strange, indeed. What then happened on 9/11 was unbelievable, just as you say.

Hello to you Mary Kay Bonfante
I didn't read your previous chapters to your free style poem
about the deviating day of 9/11. As I was reading there was apart made me stop and ponder on- how well you gave us vision of-
of smoldering metal, splintered in heaps
Awakens the city that never sleeps. *12
And as rising smoke rouses us, nationwide, *13
It stirs the world for those who died.

This was a very well composed and organised poem. You have expressed many emotions, all of which are translated well. I visited the memorial last year, it was very sad but memorable.
