Hello PapaMike,
What a moving and relevant piece you have penned. Out of six stars, but know for a certainty, that this work is most deserving. "Unperson." Met him/her in Orwell's novel. What a frightening masterpiece for these times.
Your classifications and characterizations are astute and perceptive.
Many thanks for sharing...

You are absolutely right that no one ought to be treated or even thought of as an "unperson" -- or, as the self-appointed elites say, a "useless eater" or "useless breather" (which says a lot more about the speaker than about the object of such derision).
Sadly, we live in a world run mostly by individuals with more interest in power and ability to control others than in making life better for anyone other than themselves. Each of the all-too-real examples you present is the result of such behavior by those in a position to give the relevant orders. Such "leaders" are devoid of the gene for caring, whatever they may claim to the contrary.
The only recourse is for ordinary people to each do what we can to mitigate the suffering of others, one individual at a time. Your last example shows the benefit possible.
Thank you for the perspective of the statistics. Prayer alone is not enough -- action by each of us is necessary.
Superb, and aptly illustrated.

You are most welcome, Mike. It is an important post.
I see the two minor corrections, and have removed my relevant comments to leave you a clean review. Bless you too. :)) -- Mike

The world is a sad and lonely place to so many. Your writing reflects this.
Just two comments:
Timmy and I live here alone, he's all I have, and I protect him - period after 'alone'
I was about to enter my daily pit - I don't understand 'daily pit' but maybe others will.
Enjoy your day

Hello Mike. This is a well-written piece describing conditions that are persistent in this world. Your depictions of each of the personalities is excellent. Very well done.

very impactful story on each of those unpersons. I love the facts that you showcased at the end of it all. I hope that one of these days those problems will be solved.

the detailed descriptions make this series of portraits of people in war, suffering as slaves, come alive. I think you painted some poignant pictures there and it is rather emotional. The last piece is a piece of hope. A chink of light in the dark room. I like how this flashes by in sequences seemingly unrelated but then we are related as human beings. estory

I know these things to be true, as those of us are called of God know we are loved, and are are secure in the arms of Jesus, we must spread that love to others, as Jesus walked among and hung out with the refuse and the marginalised of Israel and Samaria, so should we. Beautifully written Mike, blessings, Roy

That brings to mind a saying I would like to quote after reading your interesting story, Mike. (QUOTE I cried because I had no shoes, till I met a man who had no feet.)
We can always find someone worse off if we just look around. It's a cruel world. I don't know why God hasn't done away with us by now. Maybe this virus will do it. Pray for those less fortunate that you. Nancy:)

Mike,
Your posts always show how big your heart is and I really appreciate that. It takes people like you sprinkled among the masses to be the moral compass and act as a reminder to the rest of us. Thank you!
