Nicely done cinquain about this current pandemic facing us. It is hard not seeing others but it is for the safety of all. You are right about prayer being necessary in times like these.
Congrats on placing third in the reviewing contest.
Keep writing and stay healthy.

Thank you for your excellent review. I appreciate having any reviews at all, since I haven't posted lately. Thank you for the kind things you wrote. Yes, this is really a time to pray.

Good job with your recognized work and thank you for spreading the warnings about the virus. It is dangerous and dark times we live in now but if we keep our heads high and pray for each other will make it through it. I Humanity has survived through the Black Death, two world wars, and one Cold War. Hope you did well on the contest.

Thank you very much, Ben, for your excellent and thoughtful review. We must never underestimate the power of prayer to Our Awesome God! I'm kind of concerned myself, because I have some of the symptoms and I'm helping to care for my elderly mother (there is no other close family nearby). I'm staying in touch with my doctor's office, and trying to see if I can get tested. Meanwhile I'm using precautions and trying to stay hopeful! Be well and God bless you. - Mary Kay

My dad says make sure you have expectorants (like Mucinex) on hand in case your lungs get congested. Pneumonia is the bad player with this virus. Good luck and I hope you feel better. God bless.

This advertising, perfectly written, Coronavirus Cinquain Poetry contest entry is well set within its 2/4/6/8/2 syllables counting required. Its advertising narrative story lined content explains the most dangerous part of the human body that should not be touched: our face. In Italy people can go out only if necessary otherwise they must remain at home! Well done.

Thanks, Tony, for your excellent review. Yes, I know it's very much like an advertisement, or as we say here in the U.S., a "PSA," or public service announcement.
It was keeping me awake one night, because I had seen how it was creeping up on us, spreading beyond expectations and changing life as we know it.
Not all of that could be expressed in a cinquain poem, but I tried to put some of it in, and release just a little bit of steam that was building up within me -- although it hardly scratches the surface.
Even now, as I write this, our NYC mayor is addressing the city, and our governor just finished addressing New York, about emergency measures newly approved.
My heart goes out to you, Tony, because Italy is in a more advanced stage of this pandemic than we are -- but not by much, I'm afraid. I am so sorry that so many lives have been lost in Italy.
People have already died here, and now we have hundreds of people confirmed infected in NY State. Only Washington State, on the West coast, has more cases in the U.S. than we do. We're starting to shut down colleges and large public gatherings, and putting limits on others.
I'm not surprised that you are so restricted in Italy. We seem to be headed in that direction, but I don't know how far it will go. The reality of worldwide travel has made the possibility of a global pandemic into a reality -- very frightening. Most people are doing everything they can, and many (like me) are praying.
Stay well, my friend. Sending long-distance, safe hugs!

Yes, it's really frightening. Here it started in the North in Lombardia and they restricted their borders (2.500/3700etc) the next day allItaly was in red so everything has become very restricted! Today the number went up to more than 15.000 and 1.000 deaths. I live between salerno and Naples. I live my own built house with a small surrounded garden so I have got enough space to move around. My son Pio and my daughter Carmen's families live in the same house because itZ's a three storey house. So in the morning my grandchildren come along And my wife and I teach them the subject that need to study. So we are in good company and time flies by. My daughter Enrica's family lives in another small village not far from us but they must remain in their house so we communicate by phone. Ok! A great hug from far away, hoping that we overcome this difficult moment. Blessings Tony

Thank you for the blessings and for sharing, Tony, my friend. I'm glad you're well situated amid this very serious crisis -- a garden environment with children and grandchildren is good. I'm sorry your daughter Enrica's family must stay apart, hopefully it won't be for long.
When I was a child, my grandfather helped me study, not out of necessity, but because he enjoyed it. He was an Italian man, too -- well of Italian descent anyway!
What does that mean, 2.500/3700? I'm not familiar with those measurements.
God bless you all, keep you safe.

A very well-written Cinquain about the coronavirus that can be deadly if we do not take care not to attract this virus. My daughter and I usually start this time of year to boost our immune system for the winter, we did not have fullblown flue for the past four years.

Thank you for your excellent review, Sandra. Keep boosting your immune system -- you and your daughter -- however you do it, it's a great idea! We should all be thinking in those terms. You're probably referring to natural methods. My husband and I get the flu shot every year, and we've only had the flu once, in recent years -- and we got through it okay. But we should be looking into natural methods also. Thank you. - Mary Kay

A well written Cinquain, Mary Kay. Yes, the virus is unnerving. See how quickly it spread across the world from China. In today's jet age, illnesses travel just like the travelers. Marilyn

Thank you, Marilyn, for your excellent and thoughtful review. What you said is all too true. Mass, rapid, world transportation spreads illnesses much faster than they could ever get around in the older, slower days :-( Viruses travel by jet. Stay safe. Blessings, Mary Kay

A good warning in this cinquain form - you keep the news and warning in our awareness. Let's keep praying that the Lord will stop it quickly and that no one will overreact. Best wishes in the contest!

While topical and carrying a message of being on alert to possible infection and how to safeguard against catching it, I found the lines to not be particularly 'poetic', just statements of fact. Maybe I was looking for a rhyme (undetected / infected) or an unusual word to leap off the page.

I wonder if maybe you didn't like the scary monster... seriously, the virus is scary! Maybe there's a better possible cinquain about it, but those were just some thoughts that were bouncing around in my mind, as I wrestled with a lot of anxiety about what's going on. When I squeezed them into the cinquain format, that's what came out. Thanks for reviewing it.

Yes, it is a dangerous virus affecting all nations. Your word choice was good for the few word limit. Remain confined if possible. Best wishes in the contest.

This is a very well written poem about the Coronavirus 19. You used very good descriptive words and offered good advice. As I read this I called Tom and Greyson into the room I was in and we said a prayer. I do truly believe God is our only hope! Thanks for sharing. love and blessings, Teri

Thank you, Teri, for your great review of my poem. I appreciate your observations. I'm blessed that you prayed with Tom and Grayson -- are they your husband and son? We prayed about it on the phone tonight, four of us; we have a prayer teleconference on Tuesdays. Jesus in the midst! God is able. We must look to Him. Love and blessings to you too.
