Your love letter poem to your wife after twenty-five years is very well-written, and clearly is sincere.
Best wishes in the Love Poem contest voting!

My wife and I made a promise to each other when first married. Never let a day go by without saying "I love you," to each other.
I'm sure we missed a day here or there, but not many. She was the most outstanding woman I ever knew, or will ever know.

deceased... oh my. I hope she was blessed to hear such sweet words while she was alive. The meter wavers a bit here and there but overall a good job. All women would swoon to receive such!

Thank you for your review and stars. She heard these three words from the day we met until the day we parted. Even though she is gone, I still tell her I love her, every day.

This should be published and distributed to every male in the world. So beautiful. What a lucky woman to have a poet for a husband. There isn't anything I would change about this poem. Thank you so much for letting us all share your wonderful expression of love. I bet you really miss her. But you know, she is always around you. All the best....

Words to love by. It is tightly rhymed and reads smoothly. this is good advice for new lovers, who wish to become old couples. and older couples to keep their love fresh . Very well done; good luck. Steve

Comment from Gloria ....
Excellent allusion to Rod Stewart, one of my favourites back in the day.
This is a terrific love poem in memory of your deceased wife that she rightfully adored when you presented it her on your 25th Anniversary.
Excellent atmosphere and tone and I wish you great luck with the Contest Committee.

This is a well-written, romantic, delightful poem. It conveys a powerful message about showing love physically and verbally no matter what is happening.

If my math is correct, you've been married 63 years? What wonderful years those obviously have been, even with that occasional fight, which ended with "I love you." This makes my heart beat faster. It is wonderful. Have you framed this?

We were married for sixty years and started our love affair in high
school. Those years were not nearly enough. Thank you, Susan, for
the very nice review and stars.

Wonderful . And the truth is that when time passes, we take each other for granted and we act as if we have a contract that we will be here tomorrow. This is an awakening poem!

Unfortunately, too many people today get married with the thought
it won't be forever. Many only stay married while the lust is still there. My wife was 17 and I was 18. Best move I ever made. Thank you, Marianne, for the nice review and stars.

Such a sweet piece of poetry! I love the final four lines the most. I also like how you reiterated the question in the beginning in the end. I love it. Great job friend!
