A very pretty poem. Swans are so elegant. We have a big park near us and there are 4 swans walking around freely. No fence or anything, They have been there for 12 years. Beautiful to watch them.
The picture is beautiful by the way!

This piece uses an excellent choice of words to complement the image. Just for information, in England UK all swans belong to the king or queen, so you might read "royal bond" rather than "loyal bond".

A comment on the mute swan's predilection to mate for life without saying so in so many words. I really love the wealth of consonance in this sort piece, and the central word, 'intertwinement' is brilliant. I wish I still had a six.
