This 2-2-6-7-6, Kite Flying Time, follows the proper formatting and sends out the heads up that spring is just around the corner.

Bill thank you!

I loved the childlike values in this poem that really made it come to life! I could visualise the kites easily in the sky. I would like to go outside and fly one now haha,

Spring not only brings warmth to our world but the mere word creates the anticipation that fills us with hope as we see the rejuvenation of the world around us and know that we will be more willing to engage in some activities, soon. Joyful presentation.

Kite flying time is a good time! For most it is. I have no luck at flying kites. I usually have the kite broken by the time I get it put together. Nice poem! The picture looks Springy; LOL

I love this. I am so ready for Spring. The idea of getting out the kites is so refreshing and soon it will be that time.
Great artwork to compliment this delightful poem.

I think this is a good entry for the All my Left Over 2-2-5-7-5s writing prompt.
This short verse tells of celebrating spring with kite flying.
Well done and I wish you good luck with the contest.

I celebrated spring by flying a kite when I was very young. I continued this celebration with my sons as well as with my grandchildren. My grandmother told me of when she was a child, how they made kites with newspapers and sticks from bushes. Kite flying, possibly, is one of those activities that may last forever. Good luck in the contest.

Victor, I truly do hope that at some point in a child's life they do get to fly a kite. It seems to me a right of passage that is a must

JLR, my feeling is that some kids will just take to it naturally while other kids will learned kite flying through their parents. I don't know what to say about the other kids.

Nice job with this. I liked how the poem unfolded from those opening alliterations, 'refreshed, renewed'. It really is like catching out breath. And then the kites are the perfect image for hope; we see them sailing off to the limits of our imagination. estory
