I think you commanded this acrostic with a very firm, but artistic hand, and turned out something that flowed like a rhymer, told a story like a story poem, and also delivered a wonderful impact on the reader, especially with your last two lines which added real poignancy and depth to it. Thanks so much for such an outstanding review, six star rating and best wishes, they are greatly appreciated. I am sorry for the loss of your uncle and cousin, they are the heroes who gave their all and we are eternally grateful for their sacrifice.
My husband is a Vietnam and Gulf War veteran who is total disabled due to health issues from the Gulf war.

A beautiful tribute to our soldiers who gave the ultimate price of war and keeping us free and able to sleep soundly at night. I think we need to also include as an ultimate sacrifice too, the soldiers who have come home severely disabled.

I agree with you about remembering the ones that came home disabled. My husband is a total disabled Vietnam and Gulf War Vet. He came home from the Gulf War with health issues rendering him total disabled. As always thanks so much for your sweet and gently spirit.
