Pretty good it right. You're an A plus story teller with top rated couplets. Wouldn't Dean have loved this. I'll never look at rainbows the same way again!

Thanks so much. Just a bit of fun. Hope you are doing well. All that is going on right now is so crazy. I'm working from home. So strange. I hope you take care and am thinking of you. Roxanna

Oh dear you have stolen my believe in rainbows, not the pot of gold that bothers me, but just the thought of how beautiful it looks in the sky.
Leprechauns, little urchins up to no good mischief makers blessed with the Irish blarney - But of course there are the good ones who slide down rainbows and dance around fairy rings

Oh, no! I've always heard that leprechauns were tricksters, and those were the normal leprechauns. This puts a whole new spin on it--evil leprechauns who want to roast you. Yikes!
This is a great entry for the prompt.

I'm really starting to worry about you now, lol. Maybe you shouldn't read about granny she might give you a few bad ideas, lol. Your poem is very well-written, interesting, colorful. Great imagery. Good luck with your contest.

Your dark side is coming out. You did a great job with your Leprechcans doubles. Yuck, flesh eaters paint a very nasty picture in our minds. Great job. Shirley

A very well-written horror poem about the viability of the leprechauns where the author warns the reader not to believe everything we hear about the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow and the magical leprechauns that are seemingly harmless.

Rox,

I find that it can be a little scary to discover exactly what all is up there when we become willing to really, REALLY unlock that door and take a good hard look.

No, no. We do not have to reveal all we see.

Well. Not all at once, anyway. Hehehe

Need a quilt, by any chance? I happen to have one I can let you have for cheap. No??

Hmmm. Then sleep tight.

Maybe?

You weren't kidding about your dark side, were you, Rox? The "problem" is that you're so cute and funny that even your dark poems have a light side that makes me smile. This actually is an eerie story, what with the "evil twins," their "evening meal" and the "eyes, and bone and matted hair." Of course, when you add lines like, "Upon seeing one, I'd run fast as I could," it becomes obvious that you're writing with a wink and a smile, so nothing becomes too scary or too uninviting. In other words, you've come up with a good, spooky story, but one I wouldn't be afraid to read to an older child.

Yes, I too know about that dark side (see says as she twirls her evil villain mustache).

    You're very welcome, Rox.

This is a really great little poem with a horror twist. I don't understand why it isn't on the Lucky Leprechaun contest. This would be a great entry Maybe you can only enter it it one thing. I enjoyed reading it.
