I really like this. I think that the message is strong and clear. Sometimes many things in life are exciting because of the game of hunt and chase. These events remain exciting as long as the object that we're chasing eludes us. The hunt and chase is vigorous and engaging until the object is finally caught. The object of the chase when caught has lost it luster. That was a noble gesture by those lads. Thanks for sharing this inspirational and well written work. Well done!

Hello mystery writer. This is a great epic poem about fishing to catch the big one. The rhyme and meter is outstanding and the story is amusing. It's even a little touching when the big one was turned loose back into the water.

What a great story in a poem! Those hazy, crazy summer days of youth when no challenge was too big to take on. But I am happy that once they got the big one, they released it. A fun read. Should do well in the contest.

This is a touching poem with a courageous ending. It's not often you find boys willing to see the big picture. Someone has had a positive influence on them and fostered that tender empathic feeling.

This is a wonderful story of a naughty fishing expedition and against all odds the best fish was caught and I loved the ending too as compassion ruled the day, a well rhymed and metered story and a winner for me, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

Going fishing was a childhood event in my life. As an adult I just started back going fishing. Your poem story brings back good memories. Fishing is so relaxing and when the big is caught it's so exciting.
