Fun-filled poem. Lots of s- and p- letter alliterations walking about. Your last line is a great twist on the verse.

Good choice of artwork for your post.

There is one thing for certain... there are a couple of writers here - of whom you are one -- I just have to hold my breath when I read their posts.

I never, NEVER know what to expect. Except that it will be unusual, creative and entertaining. This one, as an example. ha

Loved this poem, Bill! It's whimsical and "punny" as well as poignant. Society often feels "soleless" and how many pedestrians feel the lack of protection. Well done!
