This gave me many smiles, and head nods:) I relate to the sad
'one vote by his side' only to well :)
Clever, true, and fun -- wonderful qualities in life and in verse:)

I'm sorry your post had a premature death. I thought it quite clever and creative and that's what they asked for, right? I like the dialogue with the wife. I like the rhymes and flow, and yes, the message is well done, too. I smiled as I read the birth, childhood, and years of suffering, with only the wish to die. I am sorry you only got one review. That's a shame. I love your satirical humor. Have a great weekend.
Take care, Jesse

    You're very welcome, Ron.
I like your 'silly take on the contest.' You put it into perspective and don't take it too seriously.
    Enjoy the remaining weekend, too.
    Take care, Jesse

-I love your topic and
take on the contest.
-You have a good sense
of humor as the poem
becomes your son, and
you agonize over each step
for the contest.
-The meter, rhyme, and
dialogue are very effective.
-I like these lines:
"If he absorbs your mockery,
he surely can't prevail."
-I also like "I posted him on the contest page."
-This is very well written and funny!
-Good luck in the contest;
you deserve it, as well as your "son."

I like this sarcastic poem about a poem and its life in the contest. I like the metaphor of the the poem as a child. Losing a contest is no reason to disable a poem. Just because the few people who vote in the contests
didn't like it doesn't mean those that don't enter the contests won't.
Good luck and keep writing
