I love poems about life and children. You know I was a child once! So I can relate with how important perspective is and you did a great job of putting it into it!

The way you have given the child their freedom to discover and yet remind them they are the product of their parents is beautifully done in this read, the most important of decisions is and must be theirs, very well written****kahpot

Victor: it's so hard to be a parent and watch our children
spread their wings to fly. I was with my daughters for a week.
I like your advice to your daughter. We try to train our daughters
to have a wonderful life with their talents. Hug your daughter.

Ha ha. I completely agree with you, of course. Thanks for becoming a fan. Doug

Our children learn from us from the moment they are born. And so as we watch them go out into the world, we know they know, but then, they may have to see for themselves. That is the hard part!
A thought provoking poem.

Your poetry resonates the story of my life.
As a single parent of seven, it was my every prayer
to give that very message to all of them. Thanks for sharing.

Well, my dear, what have I to add for someone of your experience? I am humbly grateful you liked the poem.

You are most welcome.

I have often wondered why children don't come with owners' manuals. Not only that we never know how we are doing until they leave home and are out on their own. It's amazing as many of them turn out as well as they do. I enjoyed reading your poem. I know your daughter enjoyed it.

-Nice image and
presentation, Doug.
-Your notes are appreciated,
and my answer is yes, we should.
-A very special poem
for your daughter.
-You have given good advice
and shown the qualities she
has, and how she can use them.
-Our children are given gifts
unique to them, and then
it is up to them to apply them
as they learn and grow.
-A very touching conclusion.

Hello Doug,
Yes, we try to pass on wisdom, but it seems it needs to be earned
by experience, discovered in the process of being. Of course,
it helps to have a caring parent for support and encouragement.
"your measure is infinite" a perfect ending, which has no end.
Sorry I've no sixes left.

I have often told my own children that the hardest part of my gaining success was the fear my mother expressed over and over again that I might never succeed. I begged my children to not ever permit me to get in the way of their achievements. I pray that I never did.

I have a pretty good feeling that you never got in the way. I have a deep respect for your opinions and listen quite carefully when they are about something I have little knowledge of, or experience with. Thank you. How many children do you have?
-
My wife and I have raised two daughters, one son, one grand daughter and one grandson.
-
Thas my man.
LOL
