Your poem is very nice and so is your photo taken during your walk. It's amazing what we notice when we're out walking. We notice things we hadn't while driving. The hibiscus is gorgeous. I like the rhyming of soon/Cancun. Nicely done and good luck in the contest. Marilyn

What a pretty presentation -- you have a good eye and a photographer's talent. Your mixed meter poetry is lovely too. Cancun? You think you should have gone to Cancun when you have weather that's good for hibiscus to bloom?

Hi Laura, Rain is not what you're normally looking for when on holiday. But then when the sun comes out there's nothing better than to go for a walk and see nature unfold, once again. Good luck in the contest. Ulla:)))

I think this is a good entry for the Take a Photo Poetry Contest.
This short verse tells of taking a walk and photographing flowers between rain storms.

Hmmm... it may be that you are looking for sympathy about your CANCUN VACATION. Sorry. You will not find it here.

Instead, I am turning greener by the moment. hahaha I wanna go!!!

These hibiscus flowers are beautiful! At least you did share THAT with us. --sigh--

Thanks for sharing your "walk" poem and the picture of the gorgeous hibiscus (it's the state flower of Hawaii). I am glad that you did get out and enjoyed some sun after such a hard time being sick.

Those are beautiful flowers. It's nice to see something beautiful after being stuck in the house for three days. I like the rhyme of the poem as well. I hope the weather improves soon where you are. Best of luck in the contest.

I can fill the sadness that is overtaken when one is waiting for the sun to come out so they can go out and enjoy the world around them. Not enough people take note of the world and miss so many wonderful things.
