Very nice presentation. Reminds me of our trips to Cancun. Nothing like a shower to bring out the beauty in tropical flowers. But, three days is a little too much. Good entry for the contest, however. Best wishes!

"Flowers After The Rain", is an extremely well-written and delightfully descriptive piece. This talented poet's work was a pleasure to both read and review. To me, this is six, but unfortunately I've run out of them.I look forward to seeing your next post.

I really liked your poem.
I thought your thoughts came together very well.
Your rhymes were well done, and I would like a trip to Cancun too.
Flowers are beautiful in the spring, but with them come the tormenting weeds. I'm a winter kind of guy.
Thanks for sharing.

A walk after the rain.

hello, lauralumummu,

Flowers After the Rain is a fine entry for the Take a photo poetry contest. The picture is very pretty. I am waiting for sunny days. We have pretty good weather in southern California. Good job.

Thank for the lovely review. I have never been to California, we have a snow storm now. We had a vacation in Mexico.

I like how you set the scene on a dismal rainy day in Cancun. Suddenly there is sun and the Speaker is having fun taking snapshots of flowers. I am not a fan of rhyming couplets, but they work here very well.

A very well-written poem about the beautiful photo of the flowers you have photographed while walking outside after a rain shower. A sunny day outside is just what is needed.

This poem, Flowers After the Rain, presented in rhyming tercets, captures the dreay and glory of a rainy day in Mexico. Sad becomes happy in a natural way.

LOL! Bless your heart, that trip is going to haunt you for the rest of your life, isn't it?! Such a beautiful pic of a Hibiscus, though!! ;) Love your collection of rhyming couplets, my lady, but all that keeps playing through my mind is what happened on your trip... Think the best line of the poem is "we should have gone to Cancun"... I cracked up laughing!! ;) :) Take care of you and get outside and get some fresh sunshine on your face this day!! ;) :)Take care and good luck in the contest.... they judging committee will never know the truth and you've got a bright, happy entry here...wink, wink! ;)

Thanks Yvette, I went out and it is sunny but -2 celcius and we still have tons of snow. I am glad to be home though. xo

Amazing what that 'home and healthy' does to an outlook of something we usually don't think twice about... ;) ;) Take care, my lady!
