Those are lovely. I can't wait for the flowers. It's cold here and we still have quite a bit of snow on the ground. I'm so tired of snow and cold. Good luck in the contest.

Thank you, Cindy, this was in February seems so long ago now. here we still have some snow, the bulbs are starting to peak through. I am so thankful for a backyard as we are staying in so much. God bless you and your family and keep you safe.

You capture a skipping beat with your poem, which is lighthearted to match the feeling of a vacation. It's a pity it was spoiled by too much rain, but then you got to see these beautiful hibiscus blooms.

This is cute .. catchy clear and simple.. I agree with the rain just makes everything damp..boring and sad..overall good. Poem the only thing that I noticed was the abrupt way it ends...maybe add a few more lines explaining the change from rain to sun with more details..

Good closing rhyme--rhythm is off and phrasing somewhat forced re amazing and fun. Did you intend to rhyme view with soon and Cancun? Overall well presented--nice alliteration with dismal days dark and dreary. Cheers. LIZ

Beautiful expression. This really captures the moment and vividly transports the reader to that place in an emotional state. Gorgeous piece that connects throughout.

Your poem tells a real vacation story and is lighthearted and fun. I am happy for you that you enjoyed a little good weather during your trip! Your rhymes and meter are great, and I love the trip. Taking pictures, for me, is one of the best parts of any vacation, or even going for a walk in my own neighborhood!
I like your picture -- I believe those are hibiscus flowers. There were so many of them in Florida. I would occasionally visit my Mom there, where she had a place for about 10 years. Lovely poem.

I like this one! So relaxing go read and well written as well! Just imagine going on a long peaceful walk with your camera at hand and just stopping by wherever you want to snap and save that moment in time immersed in nature! What a great way to spend the day :-)

Hello Laura!
Goodness! If I remember correctly, this "vacation" was "NO VACATION!" You became ill. And now I learn that it rained? Yikes!
Having vacationed in both Puerto Vallarta and Cancun, I can empathize about the rain = more in Puerto Vallarta!

Enjoyed!

Take Care!

Thanks Dolly, this was during my vacation where I was hospitalized for 2 days. After you mentioned the sand blowing in the Canary islands, there was an item in our news about it. I appreciate your stars and words.
