Through an emotional, creative blend of literal and figurative language, you have conveyed a moving message about the paralyzing power of the heartbreak of lost love.

Quite the visual poem. Full of emotion and regret, perhaps fear too. Where is that golden key. This poem could have all kinds of meaning. It could go towards a marriage that did not work - or a lost love who kissed and ran.
Good job.

If she only knew that key is in her own heart! Then she would be free! Thanks for appreciating this! xoxo

Very deep and crushing. I love the chain and key metaphor used ... The pic with the one with the chained heart jumping off a cliff. Why is love so painful? Why is there the other who shatters the heart once chained? Excellent!

One minute life is bliss. Everything is perfect and the future is bright. All of a sudden he's gone and you are left hurting. He has you bound in chains!

This is a sad and emotionally stirring poem. It's an excellent poem that many can relate to. It's sad when you feel trapped in a relationship that's gone sour. Thanks for sharing.

This sounds like a romance that becomes too intense and controlling, I have known love like this and I prefer my independence! I enjoyed your poem Diana and your anapestic-style mixed meter, love Dolly x

Me too! I am a Taurus and definitely can't be told what to do! LOL! He would probably be wearing that chain around his dang neck! haha! Thanks for enjoying, Dolly! xoxo

Oh, fooled so quickly by a kiss! So often is the cry of lovers left with their hearts in chains. The image you chose is beautiful and compliments your work nicely.

A very well-written heartfelt poem about a love relationship that seems like heaven when it starts, ends up being a relationship with chains and no freedom to be yourself.

I like how you tell the story of this troubling love relationship using questions in your poem. It shows how unsettling the difference is between the start of the romance to the controlling nature of the love.

Like the formatting on this one with the repetitive just yesterday to constantly bring the reader in a state of confusion that you are feeling: standing here, looking back, how...?, just yesterday... Wonderfully done, my lady! ;) Yvette
