This is so welcoming to read after a long, drawn out winter. I can feel spring is coming, but I live where it is the same temps as you experience. Extreme cold in our six month winter span.
Congratulations on your win!

Hi Therese. Congratulations on winning first for this nice poem. Well written and displayed. Spring can't come soon enough for most of us. Another month should do it. I enjoyed reading this fine poem. Marilyn

This poem celebrating the arrival of Spring lifts the spirit - just the thought- the possibility that Spring is not so far away - love the many and varied vignettes of the season

Very lovely poem! I too live where it's cold and when the daffodils stick their heads out, I know that warmer days are here! Spring is always so welcome here since we live with such cold for so long! Your poem is a refreshing taste of what's to come! Thank you! xoxo

Hello Mystery Writer!
You must live where I live! :)
Here in northern Michigan, we are so looking forward to Spring!
Your descriptions are keen and brought a smile... as I sit in front of a cheerful fire knowing that it is 18 degrees outside!
Thank you for sharing!
Best Wishes!

I love this! Your words are lovely and your rhythm is very springy. I loved hearing them bounce through my mind. One suggestion: I think "will soon arrive" would flow better. And thank you for reminding me how lucky I am to now live in the south. It was 7 below the day I left the north. LOL

I think this is a good entry for the "Spring...Lovely Spring" writing prompt.
This well rhymed verse tells of a longing for spring.
Well done and good luck to you with the contest.

I feel sure most people are more thankful for spring than for winter! Your poem is so lovely, well-composed, and vividly descriptive. I can't imaging having sub-ZERO temps. In Mississippi, the worst we get is teens, at night.

Thanks for the nice review!

We were at 12 degrees yesterday morning. For sure, the winters drag a person down - it's the promise of spring that keeps us going. You've done a very pleasant, hopeful poem. I like it. The poem has a good feel.
