I see I've missed a bit, so before reading the fourth installment of Muriel's Vacation, I will return here and catch the full trip. Ah, she's a ditz; lovely.

Thank you for the smile, LisaMay. How about Moscow? Never seen mos grow on a cow. :) Muriel appears to be a single girl, a treat for any travel agent. Thank you for sharing.

A very well-written fun traveling suggestion prose that can take us all over the world and discover what each country's secret meaning in their name. It is great humor and fun to read.

Russia: Why are Fire engines red Red...if you were rushing you would be red too. hehe. Why do traffic lights turn red? You would too if you changed in public haha. OK this was a good read. Getting us all stirred up with the Speedos and scrunching up bikini bottoms. No spags.

Dear LisaMay

Muriel is on point. My favourite parts are the armfuls of brochures and the Maldives. Hungary is a close third.

Feisty older ladies are chic in France. Muriel might like it there. Lol

By the way, so nice of you to give me a shout out.

Blessings Julia

This is very cute, Lisa May, and I look forward to reading more about Muriel Winterbottom. I don't know if you got the show "Golden Girls" in New Zealand, but she has the kind of endearing cluelessness you expect from Rose Nyland, the "Golden Girls" character played by Betty White. Trust me, that's a compliment. Everyone loves Betty White. It's amazing how your country names enabled you to put your pun-writing skills to use even in the context of an actual continuing story with a three-dimensional character. I guess you can take the girl out of the puntry, but you can't take the puntry out of the girl.

When she sits near the travel agent, you might say, "I have to snuggle next to this hunk since I don't hear so good." your destination picks are good, but you might only use a few of those I think. Love the name you chose for your lady - my maiden name was Bottemiller so you can imagine the teasing I got.
Sounds like a fun project - but since she's also a little "off" - you might add lecherous, deaf and a good bit dingy, eccentric.
Good job.

This is humorous from start to finish. It reminds me of older people I hear talk about their trip to Europe and sum things up with, "It was very nice." Since Muriel Winterbottom, the older lady character, seems short on research, no wonder every destination doesn't get past the superficial level. It also sounds as if the travel agent is trying to protect his bottom line, so to speak. Guess there is a world of possibilities coming up!

Hello...have you thought of stand up comedy. i bet you could write a great stand up monolgue, that dips back and forth and keeps people intertained.
This is fun, cheeky woman.
I need to go now and Finnish my housework...
