I guess things are looking a bit bleak these days with that China virus, but I'm sure there have been worrisome times in the past. If they would have given up, we might not be here! So, we can't give up now, the next generation is depending on us! I do like your poem just exactly as it is. I also love the picture!

Very good. I enjoyed reading this. You make it work well, rhyming all three lines. I usually find that difficult and choppy, but you made it smooth. Giving up doesn't usually end well. Good luck.

Giving up is not an option. Remember, the darkest hour is the hour before dawn. But I take your point. It all looks bit bleak at the moment and 20 words is little time to argue one's case.

The written word is one thing but what I see between the lines is sometimes more insightful of what the writer is expressing. I love this artwork and was expecting to read something lending itself to the calm and beauty of the ocean. . .so I was a little disappointed. It is your poem and I agree the world has many problems. I confess, I am an eternal optimist so I see our world as a place where we ALL still have a responsibility to band together with like minds to make the world a better place. I would hang this artwork on my wall. . .that's how much I like it. Best of luck to you in the contest.
