I love this movie and as a matter of fact, watched it on TCM about two weeks ago! It's so happy, romantic, sad, and then happy again. Perfect! They just don't make them like that anymore! Thanks for the great poem!

This is wonderful! I love old movies, something iI inherited from my mom. Have you ever seen Sleepless in Seattle? It's kind of a remake of An affair to remember. I think you'd like it. Thanks for the memories.

its good just needs some fine tuning and refining around the edges it delivers well and deliberates and its voice is true but needs some sharpness to clarify and finish.

This rating does not count towards story rating or author rank.
The highest and the lowest rating are not included in calculations.

I think this is a good entry for the February Fun Poem writing prompt.
This lovely verse tells of the move: An Affair to Remember.
Well done and I wish you luck with the contest.

Hello Mystery Writer. This is a wonderful poem about the movie. It is a remarkable film that Hollywood is no longer capable of producing. Many emotions are evoked during the picture and I remembered it fondly as I read your poem. Well done and good luck in the contest.

This is one of my all time favorite movies. (I'm such a romantic!) It is a romantic classic that I can't imagine anybody not liking. It makes me smile just remembering that ending! A lovely poem!

This work has reached the exceptional level

I adored this movie, I still do. I think Ive memorized the dialogue. Isn't Robert Q. Lewis a scream? The clothes and surroundings we're just so lovely and every look between the lovers said so much. This was when movies were movies worth watching.
Sending you my best today as always, and six stars for your day, mystery writer.

Aaaaaww, heck, Lady Sal, you make me smile even on this (ANOTHER) rainy day...ugh! ;) Yes, the movie is one of my favorite of all time for so many reasons and then so many more... and I honestly STILL get tears when I watch that ending when realization comes over Cary and he starts looking for the painting.... sigh - give me a damn Kleenex!! And, yes! The announcer (couldn't place the name so I had to see what he played!) and Cary's reactions were priceless! ;) :) Thanx for everything (and I shall endeavor to begin reading this evening)!! ;) :) Yvette

A very well-written February fun poem about a memorable love affair that was one of the entertainment industry's successful movie with Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr.

I like how you have SHOWN us the Speaker's reaction to this movie at three phases of her life. I confess I never found the film that memorable, but the theme song is one of my all-time favorites. Rod
