I think that being a grandparent is probably a little better than being a parent, but I realised on Friday last, two grands slept over, with a lively three year old boy, one needs youthful energy to cope, but were glad to hand them back, heh heh. There is nothing like a sweet little baby to hold in your arms. If you happen to be the grandmother it is a even more joyous occasion because you can get away with just loving child and not being totally responsible for training them and disciplining them. Lovely nicely rhymed poem.

What a beautiful poem. It's so warm, heartfelt emotional. I'm sure all us grandmas here on fanstory can relate. Seeing that precious bundle for the very first time. I remember my daughter saying I gave him to mom and thought I'd never get him back, lol. I told her I figured she needed rest. Don't think she bought it though hehehe. This is well-written, interesting. Your artwork is so sweet, perfect for the poem.

In Deasr Lovey I think you have created the 'Universal Baby'. This is a lovely, gentle piece in classic ballad metre. I think I would reconsider the repetition of 'heart' in the last stanza as repetition as rhyme is not fashionable these days. How about 'start's kn the second line?
