An amusing story and one that provokes thought of a house with many cats. The picture is truly adorable and you are successful with your words in that I feel how much fun you are having with your adorable pets.

Never a dull moment with all those animals around. This is an amusing account of everyday life in your private madhouse, but I know you would not want it any other way.

Thank you so much for sharing some of the frivolity in your home! We have the neighbor's cat most of the time and she loves being under the ottoman, too.
Your Dilly is such a sweet male cat. The two male cats outside are such bullies and always attack our little visitor. Is there anything we can do to create better relationships between cats?

Outside makes it difficult to control. If they were inside, you could separate them for a couple of weeks. The only thing I can think of to solve any outdoor bullying is if you can pet them, try rubbing the scent of each one on the other. That works sometimes. Or get them playing within 10 feet or so, and they may see there's no rivalry. I have several feeding places for my outside cat so no one feels he doesn't have a place. Good luck with them making friends. (Dilly is a little girl. Foster's the boy. I call him my foster child. lol)

Thank you so much for that advice, Yvonne! I like the idea of different places to feed. I stopped feeding the other cats but they won't leave our part-time cat alone. Nor our house. I think you can start an advice column! Hugs!

What a sweet story about your two cats. Animals can be funny at times and hard to figure out. But they make life a bit entertaining and are good company. My younger son is allergic to cats, so I can't have one. I do have a dog though. Enjoyed this little story.

I know it must be hard to be allergic to them. One of my sons is, too, but he does okay as long as his keeps his hands away from his face. It's the dander picked up from petting that triggers the allergy. I used to have dogs - Great Danes. I miss that.

Haha, you have fun just watching their shenanigans it seems. I like your stories about your cats and their adventures/misadventures;). Well written, as always, Yvonne.

What a beautiful picture to accent your fun story, Yvonne. I enjoyed reading it. This sounds like so much fun to watch. I know kitties can, and do, entertain themselves more than dogs who depend on their owners for that kind of companionship. Your words flow smoothly to tell this engaging little story. Thanks for sharing. Respectfully with Love and Admiration, Jan

Awwww, thank you so much. I know you know the hilarity they provide. What would we do without them? I don't want to know.

They do have their own rules for play and it does not involve us mere humans. We just get to sit and watch. I did not find any errors in this very cute piece

Mommy,

Ha! How fascinating! So it seems they have a way to communicate that no one else can see or hear. Isn't that clever? And interesting? Just makes you want to sit down and watch... Take notes and see if you can figure things out.

Wonder why we always want to figure things out? hahaha (At least I do.)

This was fun. Thanks!

I do, too. Usually, I can see the sense in what they do, but this one has me stumped. Thank you for reviewing. If I figure it out, I'll let you know.

My dog, Bo, did this with the ironing board! It would make a creaking sound when I would erect it to iron and he would go wild. I guess he thought it was real. He would sit there in the laundry room waiting for sound or movement. I should have video taped him. What a riot. Your cats have found the fun in the ordinary. Sending you my best today as always, and best wishes for the challenge.

They are such entertainers, aren't they, our pets? There are several games I could have mentioned, but this one seems the oddest. Thank you, Sally.

I like cats. I have only owned a few though. They are very interesting and intriguing creatures who are the polar opposites of dogs. They have unique personalities and have a different attitude and sensitivity than dogs have. I remember going to a friends house that was full of people. She had a cat. It went around everyone to come over to me to pet him. She said that he doesn't usually do that. They know who they like! I enjoyed reading this humorous and well written work. Well done!

Thank you. I don't know how I got into cats so much. I used to have Great Danes. Cats are a perfect machine, and so creative in their imagination. You are right. They know who to go to.
