As always, you deserve a ten for your great writing and for sharing your story. I love your little furbaby picture. How cute!
Your journey dealing with your father's illness cannot be an easy task. I can't imagine what it would feel like if my mom got ill. It would break my heart to see her struggle. But, I know some day it will happen. Maybe hearing your story will help me when that time comes. I think God doesn't give us anything we cannot handle. You must be a strong woman because you do have a lot of weight on your shoulders. Keep writing! I see that it does lift some of those burdens from you. I can almost hear your sigh of relief after I read your chapters. Sometimes just telling it to others helps in ways.

Always your fan,
Shana :)

You are so insightful and right on! I do feel a relief after writing. I worry, is it too heavy? I mean do you think people would want to read this or want to jump out of a window, hahaha. Be honest. I've never written like this before and I am unsure. But I am so truly grateful for people like you who are kind enough to support my journey. Thank you for your encouraging review.

It's definitely not too heavy. Write the way you have been. It draws me into your story. You keep it real. That's what readers want to hear. The truth, and that's what you're giving us.

Keep up the great work. :)

I'm sorry to read about your dad's brain cancer. It's hard having an ill parent. Your piece flowed nicely and had good dialogue. Only one thing confused me: "My sister, Judi called toady"
After reading it and then going back, I think you meant 'today'

Oh oops yes. Thank you for catching that. The words flow faster than I can type and I am always making mistakes!!
Thank you for reading and for the five stars. It means so much.

Hello, my friend,

I know it's hard on the kids when the parents get older and start dealing with health problems. It sounds like your doing your best and looking out for your mom. Good job with the story ... it's well done. I would end it at ......(Hear about what she's going through in all of this.) and put the prayer...(Lord thank you....) in your author notes.

HI Gypsy Blue Rose. What a beautiful name!! Thank you for stopping by and reading my piece. I love having new eyes on it. Its' a bit heavy, what I'm writing about now. I tend to write a little lighter. :)) Thank you for the five stars and comments. Hugs

Thank you Terri. He is doing better now. This is a little delayed in posting. Yes, my fur baby was so adorable. I miss him a lot. That photo made me smile so I thought I'd use it for this piece since I couldn't think of something to go along with it.
I appreciate your time reading, review and five stars. Happy Valentines Day.

Bec,

TWENTY STAPLES????? Oh my stars. Bless his heart - and his head, of course.

And I think you are absolutely right. The caregiver is often lost in the mess of everything and needs a lot of love and appreciation. You need to check and see if your sisters are offering her some time off and MAKING HER TAKE IT. Even if it's a day to go visit a friend or to go to church or to go out to lunch or shopping or SOMETHING. She needs time away. Even if she doesn't want to. Make her go lie down and let them take over for a few hours. SOMETHING.

Only two notes this time:
1.) My sister, Judi called (today),

2. ) that is followed by two quotes/ pieces of dialogue - who's talking? If it's you, the narrator, there's no need for the qmarks

Hugs --

Some times people think they have to be perfect when caring for someone they love, and don't take care of themselves. It's the hardest thing to be a carer for your husband, I've been there and it's awful. It's the saddest thing to watch the man you love deteriorate and know there is nothing you can do to stop it. I think you are writing this story brilliantly, Rebekka, and I'm sure it's just as hard to do this as well. Sending you a big hug, my friend Sandra xxx

I can only imagine what Mom is going through. She and I are a lot alike so I think I have an idea. UGH! It helps to write though. Someplace to put that energy. Thank you for saying I"m doing a good job. I often wonder. Happy Valentines Day. Hugs
