Groundbreaking. And car-breaking, too. I've never personally owned a vehicle (except a bike), but my sister had get her car totalled after a hailstorm nailed it. So, yes, hail can be devastating. Especially if it hits you.

You have made excellent use of all of your syllables in this vividly descriptive, concise haiku. "Groundbreaking" is a very fitting word choice
for this nature scene.

There must have been real stones in that hail. Not a good day to be out walking.

Oh, I love a good thunderstorm, but those hailstones can be punishing indeed. I liked that this was a true haiku, illuminating something in nature. Beautifully done and with an unexpected last line.
