I liked this very much .It reminds me of my husband's old watch he still keeps with him Only thing it is is till working it is the winding type .nothing has happened to it so far .Thanks for sharing.

This is a great story. Timex slogan was "It takes a licking and keeps on ticking." You're certainly did that. But then there is much that can withstand a Jr. High kid. Maybe the watch just rebelled at having a new owner.

OMG! Are you kidding me, Henry? That is just about the funniest thing I've heard in a long time. Do you know why it broke? It was watch revenge. It didn't like that you put it in a box to be ignored. LOL :)

One of the great things about A-burg was the wine. My wife and I used to sit in the castle with a large glass of Rhine Hesse and eating shnecken out of the shell cooked in herbed butter.
