OMG! That is the saddest thing, those poor little lambs. I love your picture, they look so sweet. This is a wonderful 60-word dash entry. Good luck!

I don't buy the stuff, or veal either. Another abomination is something so common it's not often considered -- plain, old dairy milk we use for our own children, to pour on our cereals, etc... Anguished mothers crying for their calves -- calves put down.

This is excellent. You're right -- the slaughter could cease. Heart-breaking!

You are right ..calves are separate and sent to be slaughtered so the mothers milk can be used for our comsumption.

The mothers bellow for their babies and the calves are left even 30 hours without food before being killed..it makes me feel sick.

The mothers have been gentically created to produce more milk ...the side effect: they produce milk for 4/5 years after which they stop producing ...they are literally used as if they were machine.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the matter.

Your words paint a very graphic picture of animal welfare and meat-eaters' lack of concern for the family life and comfort of animals. Selectively breeding sentient beings as our food victims is a moral issue. You clearly have a very strong opinion about it and I applaud you for your sharing it.

Thank you for your review and for having share you thoughts ..

I really dont see its necessary to kill lambs and baby goats at such a tender age just to celebrate Easter...idem for the Turkeys in America for Thanksgiving ..that's another yearly slaughter.

The ever growing demand for meat also effects our enviriment..the gas( methane) they produce by berps or farts is nocive and effects chimate change.

We are sure doing a great job in killing off our planet and expoilting farm animals.

I've never tasted lamb in my life and don't plan to. What a wonderfully written plea for little lambs everywhere. I hope people will listen.

Good luck in the contest!
Have a great day and God bless.

Thank you for the positive review .. My father would have like to eat it but I refused to cook it ( biggrin).

I think in America turkeys are killed for Thanksgiving ..that?s another slaughter that should be stopped .

I hope you too have a nice day !

A very heartbreaking offering of the realities of the market to satisfy demand for lamb at certain times of the year... you've presented the argument against in a well-though-out manner. Thank you for sharing and best of luck at the polls!

Glad you found my entry interesting ..with Easter on its way I shudder at how many even this year will be slaughtered..

I always refused to cook it even though my pa would have like to eat if for Easter.
