"Midnight Heart"
Is a wonderful children's Fairytale and you did a great job.
And, believe me I should know because I have written three fairy tale books.
"Shed a Tear Fairytales and Fables"
"Shed Another Tear Fairytales and Fables"
"Shed More Tears Fairytales and Fables"
...
This was as rich in Theme and Imagery.
It also, read well and flowed well with no Grammar Issues.
...
Complete Synopsis:
The Adjective and Objective Contents were both Excellent and Exceptional while Descriptive Measures aligned Perfectly.
Thanks,
Doctor Ricky 1034

A beautiful addition to this book... (is this the end of book 2?) love the gentle rhyme with which we get to hear Bea sing... :) Thanx for sharing, Liz! ;) Yvette

Thank you so much for writing midnight heart. You have a very creative artistic way of taking your readers on a sweet journey of research, revelation, and restoration. You metaphorically take us as the lion King did to the circle of life. You have eloquently elevated your friends through personification to the status of sojourners in the circle of life.

I need only a few words and a short time thinking that this chapter, as part of a beautiful and fascinating book, is worth my 6 stars.
There is no critique that I could possibly give. Praise, yes! What looks like a children's book, is in fact a highly intelligent explanation of how psychoanalysis works and can be understood. The different characters of the animals, their conversations, their understanding of the world, it is not sentimental but moving. The song, with "my heart is full of midnight, I'm as blue as I can be" is a jewel. I loved every word I read here. Congrats.

If really want to follow Bea from the very
beginning. You could read Be Wee With Bea. It's the beginning of my autobiographical allegory. It is much more spiritual.

A realistic fictionalized of a theme in a fantastic plot development, a good moral message is explicitly and briefly worded in a nice taletelling promotes that struggling for living is essential and how human urge for comfort and wisdom is everyone's concern; well said, well done; enjoyed the read; thanks for sharing this, sponsoring membership.

This is such a precious story! You are showing how the animals process the loss of one of their own, Scruffles. The sadness can be felt.

Here are the small errors or possible errors I found:

Under "Background":
"Bea and Sweet feel lost"
Do you mean "Bea and Sweet Puppy feel lost" or do you sometimes shorten "Sweet Puppy" to "Sweet?"

She knew this was just what Sweet Bea needed. (Did you mean Sweet Puppy?)

Willow had told Bea she could to allow herself to be sad -->
Willow had told Bea she could allow herself to be sad

The copy was basically very clean and displays a very sweet and sensitive treatment of the animals' feelings and the whole subject of grief -- very well done. And I am very sorry about Scruffles.

Thank for your sharp eye. I am glad for your appreciative review. I just realized the "Background" limits the word count. I missed all of that.

You're very welcome. I'm not sure what you meant about the Background limiting the word count, but if it's too complicated to explain, I'll take your word for it. Always happy to help :-)

This was the last part of my of my background & I'd written too many words, So when I cut & pasted from my computer, it didn't all fit in the box. I didn't notice it.

Hi Liz, sitting curled up by my side, is my constant companion, Cleo. I know I've written about her in here... I thought last winter would most likely be her last one. That she would more than likely leave at some time last summer and just not come home, as all my cats have in the past when they get really old. It seems they know when it's their time. Yet, here she still is. I'm thinking the same thing now, even though a couple of months ago, the neighbors thought she was 2 or 3 years old when they saw her outside and came over to tell me I should keep her in, lest she comes to some harm!... city people. She's been outside almost every day, all her life, unless it's too cold out in which case she yells at me. They have 3 indoor cats. No wonder they looked flabbergasted when I told then she was almost 19 and she would do what she's been doing for the last 18 years of her life. Maybe they should let theirs out? "NO!!!" Apparently, I'm crazy. lol

Thank you for your interactive review. My new cat Sammy is also a Maine Coon like Scruffles was & he also will spend all of his time outside regardless of our VT weather. I have the funniest pictures of Scruffles. He is outside on my back deck chipping away to get water from as birdbath, really his drinking dish. But he is covered with snow. It is so funny. Sammy, loves the snow too. I have to soon go out to sweep the walkway so he can go out walking. He's been very patient for a change. After my dog, Bea (screen name, Sweet Puppy ) passed I had to have another heart beat in the house besides the spiders and mice. I am glad your Cleo is still with you.

When I get snow here, Cleo will put a paw in it, give it a shake to get that offensive white stuff off, and give me a dirty look as if I was the one that made it drop several inches of cold snow all over her hunting grounds overnight. LOL

Thanks for sharing through Willow and Bea, what it means to grieve and the cycles involved, the mixture of feelings and even being haunted by memories of other loved ones lost. I also like that Bea took time to write a memorial poem for Scruffles.

What a sad chapter. Poor Bea is so heartbroken over losing her friend. I wanted to spill with her. Your story is well-written, very interesting and I loved Bea's poem all the little exercises she did. That seemed to make her more vivid in my mind. Very nicely done.
