Congratulations on winning the 15-Syllable Poem contest with this ensemble. What a glorious artwork and message about "forgiveness" and "strength". Big cheers- Joan

Thanx so much, Joan, for your review here... forgiveness is one of those two-edged swords that cuts the bonds of both parties, yeah? Think the world could use a whole lot more of it rather than the 'live in vengeance' mode of social media... sigh. Have a Terrific Tuesday!! ;) ;) Yvette

Wow, that is so powerful and beautifully written. No wonder it won the competition, congratulations. All in all, I love the poem and the image you chose to go with it.

Hi Yvette, (in case you're counting or wondering, I am on rung # 99?)
on my catch up ladder to your prolific pace of writes..LOL...smile)
What a contrast and seemingly contradiction of the meaning of
'forgiveness" dear friend!. So common it is for arms of forgiveness
deemed safety or shelter, and often assuming that is it; and not more.
Yet in reality it is far more a chance to resurge in strength and fly
up and away to new horizons and reorganization of realities and
priorities. Most profoundly presented in both pic and portents
less often thought of or envisioned. This message is vital keeper
and reminder I shall make note of too!
Apologies for lagging behind dear... frosty winter blast caused
pipes to freeze and burst in this small town, over 10 homes affected,
and fix up stalled at central water main, and others put on wait list...
My plumber could not fix mine till town's water main was fixed...
meantime mopping up water, getting new water heater, etc.etc..)
Have missed you dearly, but not much time to get to computer.
Thanks for sharing this vital message...(;);)
Love, blessings, Ronni

Thank you, THANK YOU, Lady Ronni, for your review and those wonderful stars... forgiveness is one of those two-edged swords that cuts the bonds of both parties, yeah? Think the world could use a whole lot more of it rather than the 'live in vengeance' mode of social media... sigh.
And PLEASE do not apologize!! Look at me: I'm days behind so I should be the one!! ;) And mine was just crazy life, but you're actually dealing with a crisis... good heavens!! But it is good to hear from you if only bits here and there between water and mops!! ;) ;) I do so hope and pray that the whole issue is cleared up by now - ugh!!
My excuse is at least a happy one (even though I'm still behind!): Here, it was a crazy week with schedule and weather AND I have all the boys home this weekend (HOORAY!!).... I'm attempting to get caught up while they're outside working on cars with their dad!! Don't know how far I'll get, but we'll see!! ;) :) So glade my 15-syllable shortie made such a good impression...the short ones are always a challenge, but that's what makes them fun!! :) :) Take care, my lady, and hope all water issues are dried up! ;) Yvette

"Eternity's Embrace", is short, succinct and very much to the point. With a minimum of words, this talented poet has told it as it is. You KEEP WRITING and I'll KEEP READING. I look forward to seeing your next post.

A delightful message in this well written 15 syllable poem. Excellent artwork by Leonardo Nierman to compliment your work.

Well done and good luck in the contest.

What I liked about this poem is what you did with the image. Here, the embrace of forgiveness leads to flying, and it's a philosophical depth there that makes the poem so interesting. What you're saying about forgiveness is that it is not a place to stay tucked into your guilt, into your shell, but a place that sets you free, to return to the world and your life. Nice job with the image in a small space. estory

This fifteen-syllable poem, Eternity's Embrace, has the required syllable count and speaks to the empowerment of grace rather than the surrender to it. A striking assertion that salvation is a rescue in preparation for rebirth.

Wow, another great entry. Your poem says so much about forgiveness, with so few words. The image you chose just reinforces my believe that forgiveness not only heals but sets us free from past hurts and harbored bitterness that leads to bondage.
