LisaMay may I say that Patty got what she desired...a one night out with her being dinner and Butch being breakfast. :) but it didn't work out because he was offal. :) Thank you for the smile.

Oh, Lisa, you crack me up.
"Meat me tonight - butcher arms around me!" instead of
(Meet me tonight - put your arms around me!" )
and,
"He steaked his claim and boned her..." Wow!
and the use of "offal" ... liver and other internal organs. Personally, I love liver & onions once in a while. Liver is high in iron. I get mine at Bob's Grease Spot here in the city. Best L&O in town!
Discovering this avenue for writing was a gold mine for you, eh? Keep em coming! How about being married to a Ufologist???
Nicely penned! Great wit here!
Cheers,
Kimbob

You are an amazing writer and a quick wit with the wording in these short stories, I am really enjoying them. Have a day that is blessed.

This story about the butcher is a cut above. Patty must have lost her marbling when she got pounded by Chuck. He seems like a slice guy to know.

hello
This is fun and clever, I tend to like puns, it read more of a joke than a story. not that there's anything wrong with that.

You write like you are having fun and it comes through

Have a good writing week.

A very well-written relationship commentary and the life with a butcher is not as always the best meat at the dinner table. Sometimes all they can share is a cold shoulder.

Ha, this is perfectimo, Lisa. I especially liked the line about how offal he was.

Superb and I am thrilled you are still working up this most entertaining and well-written series of complete stories--not a mean feat by any stretch of the imagination. :)

That's funny. I liked the part about her beefing about him and telling everyone how offal he was. I expect he'll have trouble finding another date after that.

Well, Patty was not one bit pleased about his chomping at the bone around her. She despised how he looked at her like a piece of chopped liver. She was done! He wasn't worth the ground she walked on. She did not synpa-thighs with his feelings for her. She was so tired of his slicing and dicing his way through life like the meat grinder that he is. Leaving him was the best thing to do. In her farewell letter, she minced no words. It merely said: Next time, follow the directions on the wrapper "Handle with care. Keep the temperature at a consistent level. Do not leave unattended while slow cooking and be sure to turn as needed.

Patty got herself into a real stew. She should have grilled him beforehand. Another great write, LisaMay. Loved "offal".
These would make a great weekly column if you could find the right newspaper editor. You'd have to keep it clean though. LOL
