In digging into your attic to find a post I missed, I found that your work consistently receives a wealth of reviews--kudos.

I enjoyed your beginning this story with the curious question. Giving the deed to a stranger in need was the glincer--the good doctor was "an angel"! I hope it was well received in the Flash Fiction contest. Enjoy the remains of Easter- Joan

Thank you, dear Joan. Dig away. I love it when my dear fan friends do this kind of thing in my attic. No, this did not even place in the contest, but that's okay. My fans loved it. This was a nice surprise for my Easter! Have a wonderful Easter celebration.
Sending you my best today as always,

An angel unaware. Every now and then we are blessed by a stranger when we are most undeserving and we feel it is almost like a miracle. Well thought out and written.

Beautiful! Indeed, you write that there are Angels among us! What a joyful piece this is. I love it. HAVE I ever not loved what you write? So many stories handed down and we have to wonder, don't we? Well, you have done this one proud! AND I am out of sixes for the time being.

You are taking so many different avenues and each is so refreshing. I am so very proud of you.
Wendy

This is a delightful story (apart from the fact that I'm not totally sure of the requirements - my PC seems to say that a policeman or a private detective shows up at the door). It is virtually impossible now to find so much good in the world (my personal assessment for which I take full responsibility), so I really enjoyed the way you wrote about that, and sustained it right through to the end.

We will always need an angel whether to feel it's presence or just to dream of an angel, Sally. I feel them all around me that sometimes I feel like a nut, ready to crack, for I know they are real. Everyone has an angel for they look over us. This is a good entry for the Flash Fiction Writing Contest.

I loved this and obviously a lot of others did too. Well done
A few possible spags and some suggestions follow. it on Sean-[m](M)athair's grave.

The doctor bore(d?) into his soul. But bore is probably ok whatever you think?

Thank you for the excellent review and kind compliments. I checked both suggestions and they way I have them is correct. Sean-mathair is Irish/Gaelic for 'old mother.' The text I read it from had it spelled this way. So glad our enjoyed my angel doing God's work. Sending you my best today as always,
    Sal xoxo

Aw, what a lovely story, Sally. Who knows, this could happen. Angels are all around us, watching and caring. It's nice to read a story where a man has nothing, only his pride, but is willing to help the angel look after his house. Wonderful twist for the man and his family. Good luck in the contest. :) Sandra xx

Want to hear something funny? I loved your tale and so stopped to google and see if this Dr. Sedrick McGrath was a real legend in Ireland... Guess what came up? Right! YOUR POEM! Hmmmm.... That was a circular journey back to the beginning! So I'll take you at your word and choose to imagine such miracles--for if they were to happen, surely it would be in Ireland! This was a lovely write...and apparently Google thinks so too!--Karenina

I thought it was too cool for school that while looking for reference about Dr. McGrath you became your own validation! All my best to you as well!--Karenina

This one is going to give me sweet dreams tonight, Sally. I love it, love it, love it. I like to think that there are angels watching over us. My brother-in-law Mike died when his son was 3, and there have been times that I would swear that Mike was sitting on Andy's shoulder. But I digress.
I wish I had a six star rating for this one. You deserve it for the happiness it gave me.
