I know what you're saying and I'm guilty of reading and moving on too. I find it hard to reach the required number of characters sometimes unless I can find a mistake or two. I'll try harder in future in leave some comments - not just on your work but others too. And just so you know, it's never about the money with me.

Thanks JudyE My phoney money is all stacked up again waiting for my next post but I don't go looking for the money all the time myself. A good story or poem will be a hit for me at times. Another post is coming real soon re recent hospital and other stuff.

Have noticed where I used to at least achieve Recognized status on everything I wrote, I now am fortunate to receive 5 to 8 reviews.
Guess that's because I write stories and for the way too many poets on this site, it takes much too long to read a chapter when in that same amount of time they can quickly garnish Funny Money from ten 5-7-5 or shorter poems.
Oh well, I refuse to simply write poetry to feed their addiction.

I appreciate you bro. I told you about Beth Shelby read her biography about her and her hubby. Sally Law is continuing on after her court case and of course Fellow Aussie Tony Fawcus , Ulla and Barbara Wilkey prose writers. Fan them all, mate. Thanks again!

This is a well written poem with a nice meter and rhyming pattern. I don't think it is a problem with the readers. Many poems get buried under those that are new or spent a lot on promotion.

Thanks another new friend. Yes buried under the over promoted for sure. Some in here spend a LOT of money pushing their stuff.

You make a valid point a d I think you are right it is sometimes lack of incentive (reward in terms of points and 'dollars' pai there is so much great writing here a d so little time. Tha is for sharing. You aren't alone. God bless ;)

I don't think we have met before. Nice to meet you. For some reason I have trouble hitting the 'n' unless I make it a point to press it hard. Would welcome a review from you and your opinion :)

Try turning the keyboard upside down and shaking might have crumbs or something in there. I should point you to some stuff I have written about my keyboard problems. Partly due to legaL DRUGS i AM ON STUFF COMES OUT OF MY FINGERS AND WIPES OFF THE LETTERS ON THE KEYBOARD AS WELL. Sorry for the caps lock another problem hehe.

The photography you choice really catches the eye and encourages us to read and review. Your free verse is well constructed and makes a good point that many of us here on FS often think about... at least I do... I seem to have the same thing happen to me. Go figure. Great read!

For me it's just time. I don't have enough time to go through them all, however, if I read them I do try to review them. I know my stuff doesn't get the amount of reviews as other pieces but it's also because I don't promote them like others. Again, it goes back to time. I hope you figure out what it is for you though. We might all have different reasons this happens.

Thanks very much for the lovely review. Rule is read, review, write and promote....that way you build up the phoney money so you can post more and get more reviewers.

I'm sure everyone who reads this will be nodding in agreement! I have noticed the same thing. However, I don't take time to review un-promoted poems. Maybe I shouldn't be that way, but I NEVER post a poem until I'm able to promote it. Your poem is well-written and delightful!

Thanks Janice for the great review. I don't post stuff with out promotion almost every time. I think I have put up only a couple of non-promoted ones. The clue is to read review write promote and so on. My "phoney money" balance was pretty high until I promoted these last two offerings. Thanks again.

A very well-written poem about the many viewers that overwhelm the factual reviews. It happens to me too in my writing. In reviewing I often forgot I reviewed a certain poem and when I open the post I discover I already reviewed the poem or story before.
