Ahhhh... I remember those days... :) Now, as my edges are no longer rough, and my lines much smoother, they're no longer as pliable and won't fit so well with others all the time. LOL

I have no edges. My wife has polished them all away... well, maybe a few small ones. lol G

I think this was one of the best of these three line entries. You had the perfect balance, a bit of an unusual image in that jagged form, but matching up perfectly with the complimentary piece in the last line. It's a real interesting, avant guarde take on the haiku form. But it works. There's some great philosophy behind it in that even what looks course and difficult when compared with the social norm, can become a beautiful thing when matched with a soul mate. estory

Wow, that is so beautifully said and so powerful. I love how simple and yet complex it is. All in all, I think this is a wonderful poem and a great contest entry.

I remember when
Our lives were jagged edges
Yet perfectly matched

A neat poem of love or even just deep friendship. Jagged could mean attitudes or conformation. Truly love the double meaning

-Good presentation
and topic, G.
-The syllable count is good.
-Effective use of one
continuous thought.
-Good image with "jagged edges."
-I like the idea of something
being left to the imagination-
-yes, there were those edges,
but maybe things were better then.
-Good luck in the contest.

I like the idea of jagged edges fitting perfectly together, and of course that is true G, when one breaks a glass, the edges can fit, just needs the right glue, well done, good luck, blessings Roy

I think most loving couples start off like that, until they really get to know each other. Then, just like a jigsaw you find the perfect fit. Well done, Gareth, and good luck in the contest. Sandra xx

"Our lives were jagged edges" - good description of the imperfections in people and their existences.

"Yet perfectly matched" - demonstrates how, although the two parties involved were full of issues, together they complemented one another where the other lacked.

"I remember when" - shows they overcame the shortcomings, are more rounded, and better people because of finding each other.

Isn't that what everyone hopes to find when they discover their special someone?

And now they're rounded edges and match only where they happen to touch? Interesting concept in this three-liner. I'm assuming there's a line count but no word/syllable requirement.
