Great job on Mountains of Knowledge. Not only did you keep to the right syllable count, but it didn't seem forced, and it conveyed a clear message of man's desire to conquer not only the physical world, but also that of knowledge.

I've never equated man's desire to accumulate knowledge with the need to climb and conquer, but it is an interesting concept that you've expressed here. I guess excelling in a particular field or area can be considered a hurdle to be overcome. Your poem and image are well presented.

The one thing about this poem is I can't get a sense of whether or not the poet is making a positive or negative assessment. It is also a bit presumptuous. Not all men desire to climb and conquer. I think this might be more rooted in an Elizabethan mindset. This poem leaves out the emotion that is needed for guidance as to how to possibly consider this observation.

No presumption, all over the world man is climbing over each other and trying to conquer (war) for example

I liked this very much. My day job is axed towards knowledge acquisition, so the image of it as a mountain to conquer is very relevant to me. I think sticking this poem up on my office wall could maybe help me to focus. Thank you for this positive start to my day.
