The words of your three line poem speak volumes. The closer we are to God, the further we are from the wiles of evil. I especially liked your first two lines and the way you structured the second line.

I'm glad you gave the verse. I so often know the words of a verse but can't remember where it is. You're right. There IS a way around temptations for those who want to resist. This is a good 5-7-5! :-)

I liked the image you chose, and the 3 line poem you wrote says a lot using just 2 verses of scripture, but very powerful in regard to resisting temptation of any form. 1 Corinthians 10:13 is one of the first scripture verses I memorized when I first received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. That was 26 years ago, now as a Pastor, it continues to serve me well in my teaching, counseling and preaching about resisting temptation. Keep writing, and keep resisting!

Jesus, himself, was tempted by the devil in the desert and set the example for us to resist. He is the way, the truth and the light. I think this is a good entry for the contest.

Well said from the Bible. A good contest entry and already you have All Time Best status. There is an answer to every situation in the Bible. Sometimes simple and to the point works.
