Shades of Edgar Allan Poe's "The Raven"..."And each separate dying ember wrought its ghost upon the floor." Anything that is reminiscent of Poe, deserves praise indeed. Well done

I wish I had a six for this lyrical and poignant entry for the 5-7-5 contest. It flowed so smoothly, the read sped by, and I was sorry when it was over. I love the imagery in whispering embers. Well done. Good luck in the contest.

Unbelievable 5-7-5 I felt a certain mystery and even doing reading this poem -whispering embers, fading echoes and radiant roar. Thank you for sharing and good luck with your writings.

You have made excellent use of all of your syllables in this vividly descriptive poem that speaks of more than the fire in a fireplace, I feel sure. Yes, some emotions, plans, etc., do burn themselves out, leaving only embers.

This is a great entry for the 575 poetry contest. Your syllable count is correct. Your words describe the embers dying off the fire very well. I am picturing myself outside at my fire pit, but with it much warmer outside. Unfortunately, my indoor fireplaces are gas. Great job and thank you for sharing.

While the fire is burning brightly in the fireplace, the room's all aglow. As sometimes two hearts feel the heat too. As the evening draws near the dying embers give off their afterglow as do the two hearts as their embers follow.
This is what I got from your poem. A fire in the fireplace is so romantic!

What a great parallel of sights and sounds, between the embers and the roaring fire. They are presented very creatively in this 5-7-5 poem, with its fiery image and red-on-gold text.
