Hello Sally, a marvelous Monday to you, I hope this finds you well. Thank you for sharing that entertaining and informative story with us. I think most of us have stories like that we can share. All I can say is if that was your pick for the "ugly" job, consider yourself lucky. LOL. Good job (no pun intended) and have a great day!

Don't you just hate it when you can't stop yourself from laughing when you don't want to? Needless to say, I was very entertained by your good, bad and ugly tales. Wish I had six stars. This fabulous piece deserves it! The Clint picture fits your work perfectly. What a great choice!

Thanks for sharing the good, the bad, and the ugly. You shine a humorous light on all of them, although I think thenPublic Defender's office sounds horrible. Thank goodness you found your true calling in life and loved it. I'm sure your family is grateful.

Thank you for the excellent review and kind compliments. I'm glad you enjoyed it all. My son's tell me all the time how grateful they are for staying home to raise them. The older they get, the more they seem to appreciate it.

Your idea for the theme of this book is interesting, and you began it well with this chapter. The illustration of Clint Eastwood is most apt for the purpose, as is the title theme music from The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly movie.

I agree with your choice of best job. My late wife felt the same way.

Why you left your good job as top seniority telephone operator for what turned out to be your worst job puzzles me, but I'm glad they took you back when the other became unbearable.

The "ugly" side of your otherwise fine Realtor job is hilarious, though possibly not uncommon in kind in that business; and you sold the house anyway, showing your resilience under stress.

Superb.

Thank you for the lovely six stars and kind compliments, dear Mike. I'm glad that you enjoyed this romp through my past. My husband and family always get the very best I have to give. I am now reaping my rewards through my grandchildren. I have such a close relationship to them although they are two hours away. I had to give up real estate license in 2012 because of my eyesight loss and position in my company as CEO. God, family, my company, and writing is my life now. Resilience under stress, indeed. :)
    Thank you, again.
Sending you my best today as always,

You are most welcome, Sal. It seems you have overcome the obstacles life has thrown into your path over the years, thanks to your loving mother, your own determination, and Jackson. It is a joy to see. -- Mike

Unfortunately, this pool was a big one in which I belly-flopped more than once. Ouch! ~ HAHAHA this was a great visual. Thanks for the word painting. :))

I owned a fingerprint kit and also had also made a cataloguing system to house them. All of my family and friends were subject to this torture. ~ Nit, I think you have too many 'also's' in this. :) Example: ..fingerprint kit and also made a cataloguing...

The more she talked, the more comical it seemed, and she, unaware of the dental floss flapping about. ~ this could be reworded to have more impact. It's implied already that she's not aware of the floss.! The more she talked, the more comical it became as we watched that piece of dental floss flapp wildly around! something like that. :)

This was well done and funny! I am excited to read this multi-authored book. Creative idea.

Thanks so much. I had repaired the fingerprinting line. I didn't repair it completely, I see. I am blind and sometimes it's acutely obvious. I appreciate the kind review and critique, Rebecca. Sending you my best today as always,

I enjoyed reading this account of your good, bad, and ugly jobs, Sally. I guess we've all had our share of those. As for me, I liked the variety and proving to myself that I could do this or that very well--then I moved on. Marilyn

I don't know how many jobs I had as a teenager, but they were considerable I can tell you. But my best was as toolroom chaser, working near my dad in General Motors in Australia. But I loved reading your list, Elaine was a teacher when raising our two girls, but like you she's the best mum ever, and now the best grandmother. Beautifully written Sally, no wonder you wrote the past series, beautifully done, blessings, Roy

Thank you so much, Roy. I am always so inspired to hear how others raised their children and the importance of family. My mother was forced into the work force because of my alcoholic father and terrible circumstances. She did a marvelous job considering what she had been dealt with. I was blessed with a wonderful man who agree see with my decision to stay home and raise our children. It was mutual. Loving parents make all the difference. You and Elaine are awesome!!

This is an interesting concept for a book, and I am very much looking forward to seeing it develop. Your chapter is an excellent kick-off. I just didn't understand from the bad job section where the phone company came in, but that's probably me being obtuse.

Most enjoyable, Sal. You do know don't you that working mothers raise their children too? The bad job made me smile. The ugly job brought a chuckle. But, come on, you should have said something.

Such a fine writer you are, my friend. You keep the reader riveted to the page.

Blessings Julia
