I think this poem is wonderfully written and represents a great way of honoring the first responders. All in all, I really enjoyed reading this powerful poem.

Very good and true poem. I think that first responders are the new American heroes. Great but very sad picture. Green color is perfect. Many forget that these men and women are also parents.

I like the emotion here. What may have made the sentiment stronger by having your pronoun agreements a bit stronger. I the end, "them" denotes the need for using "families". I know that grammar is not the focus of the poem, but somehow, "families" also makes the magnitude of the work of the heroes larger and more important.

The first responders are admirable. I understand that volunteers from different countries went to Australia to help with the wildfires there. I agree that they put their lives at risk to save others. They are heroes for doing that. They deserve out praise and thanks. judi
