A cleverly constructed poem with a repeating two part form, separated by a refrain that undergoes a subtle change at the poem's half-way point. This was so well done.

Thank you. That means a lot coming from you. I'm just a relatively new poet...its taken me forever to say I am a poet!...so thank you so much for the encouragement:(

This poem, Peace, finds the inner sense that is sought and seldom found before the soul leaves the world to its peaceless existence.

I couldn't agree more! Loved the picture you used! As I tell other Christian poets on here, it does my heart wonders to see others using their gift to Glorify God! God bless you In Jesus's Almighty, All Powerful, Divine, Holy, Majestic Name, The Name Above All Names I pray, amen, Amen, AMEN!

I am with you. I love seeing God glorified on here!
Thank you so much for the review! We can only get peace from one place...and it's free! I had to write about it!
May He always be praised on here as He deserves!

Any peace we can achieve on our own is shallow, incomplete, and fleeting. True, lasting peace--as your fine poem says--comes only from the Lord.
The style of your poem is appealing.

Oh Janice...you nailed it. You went one step firther than I did. Peace we try to construct does not last.
This is a new form I made up, because I wanted to put a question in the middle, because it popped into my brain. Thank you for the nice review:)

Hi Tina. This is a fine poem. Peace through Him is the way to go. These are the best lines for me:
"Peace
free to all who ask
changes you inside
yes, it can, can't it?
only He can provide
peace to heart applied"

Thank you again, Marilyn for reading this poem also! It is a quirky form I kinda made up to suit all the thoughts that bounce around my head:)

No matter where you are! No matter what you've done. Ask the Lord to forgive you and you can become a child of God. He has so much to offer here on Earth as in Heaven. Be sure you mean it because His love cannot be bought or bartered for. Even if it was for sale, no one could have enough money!!
I love your poem!

You have clearly documented your faith in this well written poem. I like how you expressed your desire for peace, something we are all in dire need of. Lovely bird picture too.

The thing about peace...we have to ask every time we need it. I ask a lot, lol. I trust Jesus more than I trust my ability! Thank you for reviewing and for the nice comments:)

Peace is one of those things in life that we take for granted if we have it and soon complain if it leaves, your poem is faithful and soulful Tina, love Dolly x

Dolly...yes! It is easy to take it for granted and stress over stuff. I do that, and then I remember...oh yeah, God...you take the stress ...I trade it for peace!
    Have a great day!

A very well-written poem about peace that can not be bought with all the money in the world. It is free from Jesus when we have faith. Our souls will find the peace despite the chaos around us.

Isn't it amazing that something so valuable cannot be bought?? Yes...our souls can have peace with chaos around. It doesn't make sense, but that's our great God! Have a great day, friend!
