I think this is an interesting blurb, but I will have to look back at chapters 1 and 2 to make more sense of it.

You have an excellent story. Just a few minor errors:
For sure needs a comma after it.
Is time should be It's time.
Otherwise, you have an entertaining story from start to finish.

which doesn't seem very enjoyable for you, except for the dip in the ocean.
A few suggestions to consider:
do whatever retire[d] professors do
watching the house [when] he is away
[It's] time for me to jump in the ocean
Sounds like a great retirement for one and an excellent story.
