Sorry for the five stars, I'm all out of sixes, although, I think you deserve a ten. I think you are so brave for sharing your story and allowing us to see your past. It takes so much courage to let others in. I know I have a hard time with that myself.
I especially like the ending of your chapter. I love the word FREE! I know how it feels to finally be free of darkness and lies.

Thanks for sharing!
Always your fan,
Shana :)

HEyI am so grateful for the review and five stars. I appreciate you wanting to give a six. They are limited and I know there are some amazing writers ( like yourself) on here that you have to spread the stars between! It's ok. Thank you for reading! Hugs XX

Bec,

Your dad sounds like a really cool guy who was willing to support and encourage you why you most needed it. That's awesome. So many girls don't have that in life. I am sooooo sorry you are having to go through this.

I AM happy that your dad has had a good, long life and that he has followed his heart, been happy in love and helped others to love the Lord. That's something to be proud of. *smile* No matter what happens.

Some notes
1.) It was just more of, 'Do better and it wil)l) be better'.

2.) I cried, 'Daddy can I move with you(?)

3.) He sweet(-)talked me and the next thing I knew, we (were) headed

4.) headed to a movie and stayed overnight at a (h)otel.
--> you'd only cap if you were saying something like Ramada Inn or Motel 6, etc

5.) I was in tears all the way back to my friend(')s house.

6.) I have fond memories of him calling my (apartment where) I would
--> good for you!

Great chapter! Sorry to be so late in reading!

Wow! This is very fresh, current and relatable. It feels like listening to some private confession-- and are being complemented by the intimacy offered. Your faith, wonder, and pondering are well felt and understood. It's a pity that you have suffered such bad patterns in men.

I always cringe a bit too, no matter how many good comments I've had. You never know how it's going to go over. But that should not stop you.

This is an interesting tribute to your father, who was always there for you, and who is now dying of cancer. You also tell the story of an abusive boyfriend and reveal your relationship with god through prayer.

Yes, really! Just keep opening up like this, always write your heart out and there is no reason why you cannot go far. I am only just starting as well and I know there is a long way to go yet but all I can do is to keep believing and trust my talent and hone it with hard work. For that is all we can ever do.

I hate cancer too it already took 2 people that I love the most. In away when my dad passed away last year after fighting it for 3 years, I was hurt. when the priest told us that God was kind to him when he took it away. Now looking back, I finally understood: the pain he was going through was excruciating, so God in his great mercy forgive me and took him in heaven. I will pray for your dad and whatever God decided please don't lose hope.
