What a lovely and beautiful poem June. Excellent poetic flow and construction. Truly my pleasure to read and review. Also wonderful artwork to frame this poetic expression.

This took me to another time and place. I love the era of long skirts and parasols. How lovely this is, June. A beautifully penned and illustrated poem.
Sending you my best today as always,

Yes I was going to say your poem reminded me of a villanelle and then I see it is a combination of two forms.

The needlework done by the girl is a perfect motif to highlight her other positive attributes. Impressionism is good, although I'd bet it would be more difficult to needlework abstract artwork.

Excellent poem, and a pleasure to read and review June. :)

Awesome! Your verse and all its parts are splendid and so well written. I love it and think the complicated forms make this a definite six. Great job June!!

Your style and words complement the theme of your poem about a girl who is kind and gentle. Your poem flows smoothly, and your repeating lines fit in well to the flow.

This is the first terzanelle poem I've run across. Thank you for introducing me to a new form.

Your sketch of a marvelous lady is vividly descriptive--praising her physical beauty, her many talents, and her goodness--compassion and
lack of arrogance.

A very well-written terzanelle about a person with many good characteristics but the most outstanding trait she has is her kindness that takes her close to perfection.

A fine villanelle/Terza river combination June, finely written and a joy to read. Just one spag below:

"(An) angel could not have a sweeter voice."

Did women like this really exist? I expect those who were protected from the outside world may have been this innocent and then when they marry they find out what life is really like.

Much enjoyed, love Dolly x

Thanks for the heads up on the typo! The woman described in this terzanelle does not exist - except in Monet?s mind. That?s why I called his fantasy. lol I appreciate your stopping by to read and share your insights.
