Wow - the sense of being in a demanding and difficult situation is well conveyed though the 5-7-5 format is limited - and what a superb visual to illustrate

P.S. Frost's version is a thousand times more inspiring and longer!

Yes, being lost in that kind of situation leaves the outcome to fate, which apparently smiled upon you. (I'm reminded of the philosophy of Yogi Berra, who famously said, "When you come to a fork in the road, take it.")

    Don,

The Yogi story is famous because the Berra's family NJ home had a lollipop street to get to it - either left or right would get you to his home. LOL

I really love the Robert Frost inspiration in this poem. I recently studied him in school, so this poem really appealed to me. I hope you chose the right way to go.

Thank you for your interest in that Frost famous poem. I recall my HS classes discussing this in our English class. Now, I think I have a life experience that would like to go back in time to reconsider its meaning. We always have choices to make. Taking the easy path may not be the best one in the long run.

Our lives are filled with crucial moments where we have to make a choice. And the path we choose can ultimately affect where we end up in our journey. Choose wisely, even if it's a road no one has traveled before. Be the pioneer...

    June,

I like your pioneer image. My guess is that when you try walking along new paths, you have greater experiences.

Thanks for your support of my post on this same vein.

I think this short verse is a perfect match for the beautiful photograph.
This tells of deciding on a direct at a fork in the road.
Well done. Thank you for sharing this with us.

    Sharon,

Since I joined FS just over a year ago, methinks my poetry travels have given me a new outlook.

This is a western version of the New England poets country lane. I love it and must tell you that I posted a Western type poem today too. I enjoyed it, Mark.

    Melissa,

Thanks for your review of my baby attempt to emulate Frost's famous poem in a very, very short form. LOL

Oh boy - the decisions at crossroads is always so hard for me. What to do - in this or that situation. So I'm learning to ask God to show the way - clearly so I don't get lost.
I liked your poem - it spoke clearly to me.

This one has the potential for an inspirational poster place in the office! ;) Great metaphor in those seventeen syllables -- thanx for sharing! ;) :) Yvette

    Yvette,

I think a Möbius strip would be a better choice.

Pleased you enjoyed my metaphorical moment.

A very well-written 5-7-5 about the decision to make when we have a choice of two paths to either choose the correct one or the more interesting one that is going nowhere specifically.

    Sandra,

Let's always choose the most interesting path. Some spice in one's life adds a special tang to our existence. That probably applies to our poetry writing.

Thanks for your review of my post too.
