Sally,
I love the humor here! It's a terrific read. I think many writers here on FS can imagine ourselves in this scenario. In fact, I recently was working on a piece and have had a few point out that my counting may have been off. I appreciated their "cover". Love the four star rating line. Lol
Thank you for putting a smile on my face today-again.
Blessings, Beth

I loved this "dialogue only" entry in this contest. Boy I'd like a dollar for every argument that has ever happened on this planet, from when Adam and Eve had their first disagreement on this planet, "it's God's fault, He gave me you" or "if Delilah hadn't have come along, I'd never have been incarcerated. Well done, a wonderful entry Sally, good luck, blessings, Roy

A very humorous and a true to life commentary in dialogue. I found this entertaining, delightful and witty. Best of wishes with this entry. Also, the artwork you've used to illustrate it is well chosen.

Thank you, dear Faye. Your kind reviews mean so much to me and I always watch for them. I'm a little bit behind because I have just posted the Epilogue to What The Blind Girl Saw and I'm a bit tired. Exhausted but satisfyingly so. Its good to be finished. {Smiles.}
I'm on a writing retreat this week working on some new endeavors. As always, I am deeply honored by this and always appreciate your many kindnesses.
Sending you my best today as always,

I think this is a good entry for the Dialogue Only Writing contest
This fun piece has two Fanstory members discussing an entry for a Nonet contest.
Well done and I wish you luck with the contest.

Cute dialog story - and yes, sometimes the syllable count is hard - some things I feel are two - are only one - and so forth. Well done for the contest - good luck on that.

What a provocative title! LOL - this was fun to read and something we all can relate to. Well, girl, you pulled this off. Dialogue is very important to move a story along and I, for one, can do without too much detail and description. Hugs, Lou

Loved your slice-of-life, one-upmanship scenario here, presented in a humorous way to point out some of the fanstorian's "sins".
I have found on-line syllable counters vary in their accuracy - which one do you use? I have written an approx. 500 word story and don't want to manually count up, but 4 different sites gave me 4 different answers with a variation from 460 to 479, which would be crucial for some writes.

Thank you, dear Lisa May. I am so honored by your kind review and remarks. Yes, this was spawned from a review last year that seemed to take on a life of its own. For my syllable count I use: howmanysyllables.com. I do a count on my own first, and then use this particular counter. Sometimes when I saw a discrepancy, I realized I hadn't refreshed the count, and it was stuck on the previous one. {Smiles.}
Thank you again, for the fun review and generous stars. It is so appreciated.
Sending you my best today as always,
Sally xo

Thanks for your advice Sally.
I often use dashes in my work and these get counted unnecessarily I've noticed.

You made me smile here Sally and of course I recognise this scenario all too well! The dreaded four stars! Ha ha ha, everyone expects five stars including me! People are so passionate about what they write and I understand their feelings, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

Hi Sally, a 6 for this one. Really good piece of work and I can identify absolutely with everything in it. My 'better' half and I - well maybe just I would be more truthful, can argue about anything. I have to tell him he's right to keep the peace - and that's a lie. You've written an amusing dialogue and I love it. Good Luck to you - love Dorothy xxx

Dear Dorothy, you are just so kind to me. I'm glad you liked my satire starrng two FanStory writers out of control. I think we all can relate to this and our mutual fear of the four-star rating. Powerful stuff.
I am deeply blessed by this wonderful rating and kind review. Sending you my best today and for always,
Sally xoxo
