A very well-written poem about daydreaming that sometimes take us back to our childhood days and we spontaneously do the things we did as a child.

The picture you selected beckoned me to walk with you. How fortunate you are to live in such a splendid environment. I enjoyed your alternating rhymes in these quatrains and was transported. Big cheers- Joan

Thank you! It?s not a large park but large enough to enjoy a mile long trail. Appreciate so much you enjoyed! xoxo

This is a lovely descriptive poem remembering a warmer time as you sit
inside on a winter day.
It sounds like a beautiful place to spend time with your family.
How lucky to live nearby.
Thanks for sharing.
Nancy

Ah, yes, how nice a walk on a spring day would be--right now! Today I changed the message on our church sign; my hands got numb! I really enjoyed your poem. It is very well-written and appealing.

Oh dear! You obviously live in the upper part of our country like me! Haha! I do hope this warmed you up a bit! Thanks so much for reading! xoxo

Actually, I live in Mississippi. The high today was just above freezing--really cold to us!

Oh my! Well I?m sure then that freezing is like pure torture for you then! We were at about 15 degrees here today! 32 and greater is grilling weather here in northern Indiana! Haha!

I love how you put the reader into the scene with you and that in fact you can create little scenes almost like a skit. In this one it didn't only invoke feeling, but my imagination could also conjure up the colors of the moment. Felt good to read. xoxo Kiwi

I love the nature sentiments here Diana, the meter trips up in the first line of the last verse. Perhaps: "I wonder forward to the bridge" would work better, love Dolly x

The poem is just so serene, calm, tranquil or peaceful. I can see you walking or fishing near the water; then throwing a branch in the water, watching it float downstream.

I love living next to this bit of nature. It is so peaceful and so close! they even have an sensory garden where I take the little ones to. There are multiple sections where you can feel velvety plants, smell fragrant ones, and hear small waterfall running, and even a taste one where they grow mint and other herbs for tasting. Kids love it!
I'm so glad you took a walk with me! xoxox :)

Hi Diana,
I enjoyed the scene setting you have done and felt the joy and peace emanating from your words.
Lush green anything has been like a pipe dream for so long in this Aussie drought that it was such a pleasure to reminisce with you.
Perhaps I'll listen to the music and linger just a little longer.
Blessings
Shirley

Thank you so much! It was snowing and icy, and I wanted to warm up with thoughts of spring!! haha! so happy you enjoyed, and from my phone, it didn't look as "bold typed" as it did when I saw on my computer this morning, so I have hopefully given it a softer touch on the eyes! haha! xoxo

I had to persevere with reading this as it is too bold and slanted for easy reading for me. However, it was worth the effort to feel so relaxed and nostalgic about my own childhood when I, too, would float sticks downstream.

Thank you for inviting us along on your walk through a woodland paradise! I can picture the quaint little bridge over the peaceful stream. Can't wait for spring!
