My husband and I had such a relationship.
My friends think I'm submissive,
that seems my natural bent.
We walk the married road, perhaps,
the way God surely meant.
This does describe us, well the entire poem would. LOL Well done Jaybird. Nancy:)

A lovely poem from the viewpoint of the wife. For a marriage to work, both
husband and wife need to work at it and compromise. Sounds like you had
a solid marriage.

Marriage is a two way street and while there will sometimes be collisions most of the roadway runs smooth. I see my wife and I in this poem so much. Thank you for sharing.

I agree with you, Jay. If two people can live side by side for a number of years, happily, then what else is there to want? Some people saw her as submissive? I see her as a wise women who loved her husband knowing it was returned. Wonderful poem, my friend, and I'm sure you loved it too. :)) Sandra xxx

Hello Jay. I think marriage to anyone is difficult. So many ups and downs, if you aren't friends in the first place you haven't much of a chance. Your wife is correct in this one and this piece is engaging and lovely to read.

This is a lovely poem written from your wife's point of view. It seems you've had the perfect marrjage. You are very lucky. Nicely written. All the best. Jen.

My husband and I joke that we should start dating. We never fight and we always see couples fighting. I know people say you need to work a lot in a relationship but honestly we don't. It just comes naturally. There are times I shut down and don't talk to him right away about things but in the end he's my rock. I'm glad you're wife feels this way.

This is a lovely poem describing all the best aspects of a successful union, having weathered "trials, some tears and bliss":
"Our children honor and respect,
that greatly pleases us.
The tender harmony we share
is an even greater plus."
It's nice that wife considers herself liberated.

A very well-written poem from the point of view of a wife that is liberated and content about her life and marriage. Get children bring pleasure and purpose to her life.

Thank you for sharing, JayBird! Yes, your wife was very wise to know how to make the marriage work as the Lord told us in the Word. She also knew when to disagree and especially to share mutually.
