I feel like at times when it comes to marriage, both the husband and the wife have to be submissive and let the other take the lead in certain things. Its not about switching gender roles or being dominant but rather going with the person who is right! And that way, both of them can feel liberated!

Hello Jay, a well written, sincere poem through the words of your wife. The words indicate a perfect union with mutual sharing, the way a happy marriage should be. This is yet another very well written poem from you with perfect rhyme. Warm regards Dorothy x

This simple framework contains this vision of a couple leaning on each other, finding themselves in each other, and I think that's really the gist of marriage. It really is impossible, despite what the progressives want to strive for, to define women and men away from each other and their relationship as couples. estory

You are so right and so is she. But you mentioned God and as long as He is the center of the family, everything, attitudes, sharing, raising, even disagreements are in His hands. Very nicely done

I was blessed to be a stay at home mother and wife and I proffer that I was more liberated than the ladies who held a job 40 hours a week outside their home. I have the pleasure of teaching and loving my children. Now in my old age those years as a stay at home wife and mother is paying big time benefits today.

This is well crafted and conveys a beautiful message about what a marriage should be. There is always give and take and mutual respect in a good marriage. I'm happy for you and your wife.

Good for your wife for seeing herself as liberated. I was liberated to stay home with our children not put them in day care and to dress up and pamper my husband when he came home from a hard day of work rather than both of us coming home dog tired. I love that my husband allowed me this liberty. I love your wife's poem.

Hi Jay. I agree with all of your notions in this poetry. The old saying about "taking two to tango" is certainly true.
There is nothing to be ashamed of in giving in some of the time to keep peace and that pertains to husband and wife both. Bless you my friend. Bob

A cute little poem about the importance of family and couple relationship that culminates with a rare and exceptional agreement :"n retrospect, I clearly see
our life held little strife
so thank you Lord, I'm proud to be
a liberated wife."
Thank you for sharing
