He was a wonderful man and his message was great. Unfortunately, white power reigns supreme. We will always be the underdog until Jesus returns. You cannot judge a man by his colour, and yet we are judged. I have said once, "don't worry, it won't rub off!" The Book of Revelation speaks of the blacks rising up. Love begets love, hate, well we know what that does. Well said my friend.

Hi Jlr, I really love your poem. It's so powerful... I really wish I had a 6 for you right now. I love that you repeat the first line through most of your stanzas, and the last few words of the last line in the first 6 stanzas. It sends a very powerful message. I kind of wish you hadn't deviated from that pattern though, I think it would have kept that power, stronger throughout the poem. You have a very strong message here, that I love... it hasn't been heard the way it needs to be heard. Not with yelling and screaming, with bats or bricks, tear gas or sit-ins, but with messages that are powerful, to the people. With words that will be recognized and remembered far into the future as those of MLK. Nicely done :)

An excellent poem to honor Dr. Martim Luther King. You have put a lot of
passion in this free verse poem. I thought we were making progress when we voted Obama as President. Now I feel we have really slid backward.

I can always remember my parents saying of their then, best friends, "you know what Jews are like" and wondered why, at the time, what they meant, nor did I have or get an answer, not then, not now. But injustice covers a myriad of things, and if it's not manifest in racism, then it's still obvious in other areas, such as nationalism, thinking that your country's ways and people are superior to others, class distinction, it's far less obvious in poor countries than rich, but nevertheless less, man is, by nature, an idol worshiper, well done with these great words to back your point. The impressive thing about Martin Luther King was his bravery, he knew his days were numbered, a martyr to faith's cause. Well done, blessings Roy

If only we could indeed! He was taken from the world unjustly and far too early! What he stood for now needs to apply to the whole world not just USA itself!
