Interesting interpretation of John's quotation. I love the presentation with the yellow font on purple background. Well done simple and direct. Thank you for sharing with us this unique piece. Good luck in the contest. Blessings. ~Brenda

Dear Poet,
Inspiring? Yes. Uplifting? Yes. A great 5-7-5? Yes.
But Haiku? No.
I am no expert in this form, but I believe that Haiku is normally about nature.

Reg

This work has reached the exceptional level

I wanted this six stars because of its content it's message, and its accuracy to the format for which this is portrayed. This is an important message that should be shared for Thanksgiving and the Christmas holiday but are you around this is a very relevant and real message. I feel honored to be part of the fellowship here at fanstory.com, and have been thoroughly and riched by the vein of spirituality which runs through here. And honor and a pleasure to write with you here.

Blessings,

Brother Badger Cull

Darren

Hello Fonda!
Your message is uplifting, spiritual, and heartfelt.
However, while this offering is structured as haiku, it is not as it does not address nature, is written in upper case, involves a human element, and there is no satori - or "aha moment in the final line. I also question the use of quotations.
Nevertheless, it is a fine 5/7/5.

Thank you for sharing!
Diane

You followed the rules for a haiku.

Your message was clearly stated.

Your picture was perfect for this haiku.

Good luck in the Haiku Poetry contest.

If man stopped taking lives and stopped waging war the world we live in would be a much better place : ))
Your 5-7-5 spiritual offering is powerful but I'm not sure it qualifies as a haiku... a haiku is defined by its reference to nature.

This is very good and inspirational. When I was in college, I worked with a man whose son borrowed his truck one night and had a hit and run accident where the other driver was killed. The son came home and told his father about it. The father called the police and told him he was the driver. He went to prison for his son's crime.

Jesus's love is everlasting love. He loves us forever and ever. There's no greater love than His. I pray to Him often so He will bring peace instead of intense selfishness.

Hi there, this could be a great haiku poem. The only problem I have with it is that a haiku is always written in lower case and is normally about nature. You've written a great 5-7-5 poem but a haiku it's not. Good luck. Ulla:))

With a simple poem about a profound thought, or rather truth, you make this poem seem bigger than itself.
Nice writing! Good luck in the contest!
